Hatchetforce
http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/200...cott-video.html The sad thing is Sarcastic Gamer has a point. A $60 game that doesn't include all the weapons and equipment unless you pay extra. They are on the disk, but you can't get them unless you fork over even more money. Not really worth it considering the beta hasn't exactly shown the game to be a stellar piece of work. Pass. Hatchetforce
The power of consumer pressure: http://kotaku.com/378052/bad-company-drops-weapon-charges After the ######storm of dissension in the ranks of gamers upset over the possibility of EA's upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company including weapons that were only available for purchase via Xbox Live or in the special Gold Edition of the game, DICE senior producer Karl-Magnus Troedsson has come forward to announce that there will indeed be no exclusive weapons for sale. Reversing what EA told Crecente back on the 24th of last month, Troedsson reveals that while the Gold Edition does contain five exclusive weapons, purchasers of the regular version will be able to unlock all of the weapons by reaching the final rank in the game.. dporter
That's awesome. I know people were really upset about it. I think EA made the right move. Maybe developers are realizing that they're only going to hurt their bottom line when they stop listening to the consumers. What ever happened to the days of "the customer is always right"? krise madsen
I'd say it's an example of how not to do things. I suspect it's a sign of the "established" parts of the industry trying to get to grasp with the future of online distribution, micropayments and whatnot. TBH, this looks like someone not having learned from the $5 Horse Armour Oblivion debacle... Respectfully krise madsen
