Is there a ballistics comparison table available for cross referencing the rifles?

Are these rifles true to RL or are they pretty well made up?

Yeah, thanks for asking, we have tried our best to make the sniper rifles "feel" as real as possible in this mod.

Ballistics were generally set using this tool made by DonMiguel / Parabellum - http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php...view&id=297 .

Ballistic comparison table for 5.56x45mm, 7.62x51mm and .50 sniper files, as used by the tool :

<CalType>5.56x45mm (.223 Rem)</CalType>

<BulletGrains>55</BulletGrains>

<PowderGrains>24.5</PowderGrains>

<MetricUnits>FALSE</MetricUnits>

<VelocityMuzzle>3240</VelocityMuzzle>

<Velocity0>3076</Velocity0>

<Velocity1>2911</Velocity1>

<Velocity2>2747</Velocity2>

<Velocity3>2304</Velocity3>

<EnergyMuzzle>1282</EnergyMuzzle>

<Energy0>1162</Energy0>

<Energy1>1041</Energy1>

<Energy2>921</Energy2>

<Energy3>648</Energy3>

<CalType>7.62x51 (.308 Win)</CalType>

<BulletGrains>150</BulletGrains>

<PowderGrains>45</PowderGrains>

<MetricUnits>FALSE</MetricUnits>

<VelocityMuzzle>2820</VelocityMuzzle>

<Velocity0>2681</Velocity0>

<Velocity1>2541</Velocity1>

<Velocity2>2402</Velocity2>

<Velocity3>2262</Velocity3>

<EnergyMuzzle>2648</EnergyMuzzle>

<Energy0>2412</Energy0>

<Energy1>2176</Energy1>

<Energy2>1940</Energy2>

<Energy3>1704</Energy3>

<CalType>12.7x109mm</CalType>

<BulletGrains>655</BulletGrains>

<PowderGrains>248</PowderGrains>

<MetricUnits>FALSE</MetricUnits>

<VelocityMuzzle>2900</VelocityMuzzle>

<Velocity0>2755</Velocity0>

<Velocity1>2610</Velocity1>

<Velocity2>2465</Velocity2>

<Velocity3>2320</Velocity3>

<EnergyMuzzle>1527</EnergyMuzzle>

<Energy0>1362</Energy0>

<Energy1>1196</Energy1>

<Energy2>1031</Energy2>

<Energy3>865</Energy3>

And in game settings :

5.56x45mm -

<VelocityCoefficient0>987</VelocityCoefficient0>

<VelocityCoefficient1>-0.711111</VelocityCoefficient1>

<VelocityCoefficient2>-0.004855</VelocityCoefficient2>

<KillCoefficient1>0.395679</KillCoefficient1>

<KillCoefficient2>0.002064</KillCoefficient2>

7.62x51mm -

<VelocityCoefficient0>859</VelocityCoefficient0>

<VelocityCoefficient1>-0.802128</VelocityCoefficient1>

<VelocityCoefficient2->0.000793</VelocityCoefficient2>

<KillCoefficient1>0.939007</KillCoefficient1>

<KillCoefficient2>0.005807</KillCoefficient2>

.50 -

<VelocityCoefficient0>883</VelocityCoefficient0>

<VelocityCoefficient1>-0.800</VelocityCoefficient1>

<VelocityCoefficient2>0.001012</VelocityCoefficient2>

<KillCoefficient1>0.526552</KillCoefficient1>

<KillCoefficient2>0.002715</KillCoefficient2>

The other cals had the velocity and kill coeficients set in a similar way.

Stabilization time, accuracy and recoil were set considering barrel lenght (st and recoil are calculated by the tool too).

We have tried to add cool sounds too, many rifles have its real life firing sounds. Others have a firing sound of a similar rifle with the same cal.

Rolloff were set by cal too, so enemy will react to the firing sound of each rifle considering the cal of the weapon you're shooting - sd rifles have a smaller value than original ones, obviously, but not equal to "0".

Each weapon has a custom high quality reticle. All reticles have pips, unless the Barrett M107 and XM500 equiped with BORS.

Much better than all this is of course to test in game all rifles and find out wich ones are the favorite for each player, their characteristics, etc ...

Some sniper missions will require a "faster", yet not so accurate rifle than others, etc ...

Thanks for the low-down on the kit outs. I'll try them out to see which ones are my favorite and for which mission type.

Also, will the weapons skin affect the enemy's ability to spot you. I know that this is a non issue for the core game, I am just checking to see if you have figured out how to make that happen.

Again, thanks.

No, due to engine limits this cant be done to humans x ai, only in TvT.
