Simo
hey guys i read the rules and stuff but i didnt understand something... we have to begin our missions as soon as we ask for them? that would mean that we have to do them the same day we get them right? another thing... if my team finishes a mission and sends the replay, can we ask for the mission another day? because i dont think that me and Juba will be able to play every day... we´re finishing high school so we´ll only be able to play on weekends... thales100
Lightspeed is the rules guy, but im sure rules will be set in a way itll be possible for everybody to play. We know there are players from all over the world taking part of the tourney, so its not possible to have one time for everyone. Weekends are the best days too, no doubt. Rocky
hey guys i read the rules and stuff but i didnt understand something... we have to begin our missions as soon as we ask for them? that would mean that we have to do them the same day we get them right? The way it worked last time was, whenever you are ready to play, just get one of the organisers on Xfire or MSN and they will send you the mission file there and then. You play, you return the score and replay file. Simple
thales100
We, the mod team, want all you playing and having fun , so tourney rules will be set up in a way everybody can find its time to play the missions and send back the score and replay ok ? Lightspeed
This will be a logistical nightmare for the Admins - 40 plus teams and 10 maps per team. Please be patient when this all starts - there are sure to be some issues along the way - we will try to keep it fair, simple etc for everyone. Still trying to work out the finer points to keep it fluid. The last two Tourneys I've hosted didnt have nearly this many teams so wasn't as difficult to administer. Simo
well i think it would be nice to do what Rocky said... just get an admin on xfire or MSN when you´re gonna play, get the mission play it and send the scores and replays back, but to avoid having to wait too much, the admins could give 7 days to get the next mission, that way everyone can play the missions in their own time but respecting the hours or minutes given by the admins once the mission is given... thats my idea i dunno if u get me... Lightspeed
that's how ive been doing it for the last 2 Tourneys. this time its a little different though. one mission = 3 maps. you will have a mission length time - which is the time allowed to submit results for all 3 maps. you will have to decide how much time you want to spend on each map and whether you want to risk going for secondary objectives in the maps. you will receive bonus points for completing all 3 maps successfully within time limit. when you ask admin for a mission - he will give you a link to download the mission which contains 3 maps and i will post a Briefing in the Forums which tells you how long you have to complete all 3 maps. once you submit the Mission Results (scores for 3 maps and replays as proof) you are eligible to ask for link to download the next Mission. etc. I will post more about this in the Pinned Topics. Lightspeed
10 maps in total. 1 training mission which is scored. + 3 missions each with 3 maps = 10 you choose when to ask for a mission pack and from then you will have a set time limit to complete all 3 maps and hand in results. i will post more on this later.
