Hatchetforce
Family fun for sure. When you start thinking about 2, 3 or 4 people truing to outdraw each other in MP in order to creat new units, it gets really interesting. Rocky
Once Nintendo see that they'll probably have a better version available that doesn't need a pen and bit of paper. You know how hard it is to find a pen right? With the wii you can draw shapes right on to the telly screen, so the game could start with the players all drawing their shapes at the same time, on the screen. Nintendo - send royalties to rocky@ghostrecon.net.
Hatchetforce
I think you have to realize this isn't the game but rather proofing of technology. You have to look at application beyond the demo. I personally don't think they are pushing the Eye hard enough. I have played a couple of the games designed for it on PSN and they are easily within grasp of Minority Report abilities on this generation. And since I started the thread that sparked you to prompt Nintendo I think there is a cut in there for me somewhere.
Deadpreacher
I am still very impressed with the camera and there games. I am so impressed with this i see so much they can do with it. Card games (Magic The gathering and like), Board games and all this other stuff they coming up with! I am way more impressed with the eyetoy then i am with all the controller stuff (Wii and PS3) have come up with. I would rather see next Gen or even this Gen really grab hold of the eyetoy features. Instead of just playing on a screen with a controller you play on a table with screen effects letting you see everything come to life. Letting you get more involved in the game besides just with a controller. They could let you use props to play a game out instead of just waving your hands and arms about. You guys ever play Mageknight or Mechwarrior dial piece games by wizards of the coast? Man i love playing them type of games and if Sony could enhance this with graphics on screen making them come alive. It would only make my gaming so much better when playing with a friend at home or even online! Plus even all the card games and board games. Get the Eyetoy to read Dice would really open it up to play just about anything and i don't see this being any kind of trouble to do. They really have something here i hope they really use this to its fullest and not just for show and nothing really ever comes out of it but a few small games! I wish them luck and it really takes off!

Man i love playing them type of games and if Sony could enhance this with graphics on screen making them come alive. It would only make my gaming so much better when playing with a friend at home or even online! They've already done that. There's a fantasy card game that you set up on the table with your mates and play, the eye toy reads the cards and plays it out on the screen. The guys at the totally rad show have a video review of it - sounds like it might be right up your street.
Deadpreacher
Yea i seen that Rocky, thats why i have such high hopes. Just kind of hope they pick up on some of the bigger company's and more popular games. Its a start though for what they have just like to see it go alittle farther with what i would/do play! Hatchetforce
Rocky, this is where it gets impressive: http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/02/01/develo...ion-for-ps-eye/ The difference between this and the Wiimote hack is the Wiimote hack requires a PC where this will run off the PS3 in your living room or game room. Yes they could build one and put it in a PC and you could hook a PC to your TV but most devs and publishers do not think that way and neither do most gamers. They have tried track IR on the PC before and it didn't suceed but now it's on a console. Also software could be written to advantage itself of the IR sources individually. You could have gloves you wear for Minority Report interaction, Eye Boxing, etc.
Rocky
That is very very cool - developers need to get all over that! I loved the presentation too, with the hushed tones, it was like he was in his room and didn't want his mom to know he'd been messing around with his PS3 again LOL. FA sear
For some reason I could not play the second video earlier. That is really something else, and the potential applications are endless. Heck, I even thought the fish vs tank was neat stuff.
