Thanks for the post Kleaneasy.

Although not listed there, I heard that the M99 zoom time has been adjusted, for obvious reasons, but I guess we'll need to wait until Wednesday to know for sure.

All good things come to those who wait.

I know that I am not the most patient person on earth (at least thats what my doctor keeps telling me), but I lurked in the background and played COD and COD4 waiting for this good event to take place. Now I can put them aside and play some good games again. I might even go with the MP this time (I'm mostly SP type person).

Patch 105 officially out on wed 13th febuary 1998. By the looks of the fixes and mission addons it looks like grin have done a smashing job. They have even given us two new guns a shot gun and the saw.

m240 'aint the SAW dude... 7.62mm... usually on vehicles and crewed by 2. Maybe the modern version called the mk48?

Is this also a feature list. If it is I must say, no autodownload pretty much has sealed it.

I'm REALLY disappointed.

I have to laugh. I find it odd that they are recycling SP maps to MP - something that community modders have already done quite a bit of.

Then the only fixes listed are related to synch issues.

And no autodownload. Wow. I wonder what kind of impact that will have on what few map makers are left.... One thing is for sure, I'm not going to go out of my way to try to host a server again. I had hopes but this patch doesn't change a single thing for me a server operator. There is no incentive with this patch for me to run a server again. Too bad.

Well it's better then the other alternative which is where we get nothing. It's actually better that Grin add the content so that it's actually official and part of the game instead of with mods where we might have to modify a few files to get them all to work.

Vhladd already did that with every s/p map, not just the few that come with the patch. And random respawns as well. GRIN/UBI are wayyyy behind.

I thought so but I didn't want to make a blanket statement for "all" maps without being 100% on it.

Yeah but stock means we won't have the wrong version each time we try to join ;)

The sync fixes i think ... (translating) couild be better net code.

The patch is coming at just the right time for me also... i was just getting fully fed up with cod4

And rugg...they even threw you a bone with the m99

Really now, out of 5 maps we only get one that is Deathmatch? 3 are RvsA, and 2 are Coop? This is ridiculous. Before I threw out the maps I worked on, I'd never coded before; and in all honesty, to convert any of the maps they are offering would have been very easy to include TDM & Deathmatch. Not to mention, they could have easily updated the TDM to handle random respawn insertion points on all maps - new & old. Wow, I'm impressed...... :x

Hopefully it isn't another skin-job of the M249 and is a completion of the M240.

My big hope was to see something similar like this in the next patch that is very close to what Xbox360 got earlier.

More maps för Coop-Op, SP and all maps would work for MP too.

CO-OP MAPS

New Co-op Campaign – Story: Manuel Suazo Azcona has emerged as the leader of a new rebel movement in El Salvador. Azcona’s plan seems to be an attempt to destabilize the governments of both El Salvador and neighboring Honduras. Once their respective governments are weakened, he will incite the people to try and overthrow both countries’ U.S.-backed leaders. The Ghosts are being sent in to quell this uprising before it starts. They must first stop the rebel incursions over the two nations’ shared border and then hunt down the rebel leaders one by one. If they fail, America’s efforts in the region could be set back by decades.

Caves – (Ghost Recon)

Azcona’s squads are using the nearby caves as an operational base for raiding army convoys across the river. Detain and extract the rebel leader and recon the area for any hidden weapon caches.

Railroad Bridge – (Ghost Recon)

Intel reports the rebels are moving on a command post 60 clicks southeast of here. Protect the command post, recon the local rail line and hunt down the informant providing intel to the rebels.

Battlefield – (Ghost Recon)

The last rebel unit in the area is holed up in the village of Venta. An allied armor unit on the edge of town is pinned down by artillery. Ghosts, knock out the enemy comm transmitter, then escort the armor through the village.

Plantation – (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder)

Intel shows a rebel leader’s motorcade is moving through the farms south of here. Take out his convoy and destroy all of the surrounding ADATS before Sabre Seven arrives for extraction.

Swamp Airfield – (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder)

Azcona’s rebels have occupied a small island airfield. Recon the area for intel on this operation and destroy all aircraft to prevent any means of escape. The landing strip is targeted for an air strike so get out ASAP.

ADVERSARIAL MAPS

Business Park – (Brand New) / Suitable for 8 to 12 players

Narrow alleys connect open courtyards with overlooking balconies in this concrete corporate paradise.

Rooftop – (Brand New) / Suitable for 8 to 12 players

Sitting on top of the world, the rooftop structure of a skyscraper has lots of cover and vertical combat.

Caves – (Ghost Recon) / Suitable for 12 to 16 players

Rolling terrain, forest and a cave structure tucked into the side of the mountains.

Railroad Bridge – (Ghost Recon) / Suitable for 12 to 16 players

A deep valley with a rail bridge spanning overhead, hilly and wooded areas nearby.

Battlefield – (Ghost Recon) / Suitable for 8 to 12 players

Open terrain with pockets of war-torn buildings, under the limited visibility of black skies and pouring rain.

Plantation – (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder) / Suitable for 12 to 16 players

Wet, foggy airfield located in the heart of a murky swamp.

Swamp Airfield – (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder) / Suitable for 4 to 8 players

A bright, sunny day overlooks the plantation fields and nearby structures, including a large warehouse.

Prison – (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder) / Suitable for 4 to 8 players

This dilapidated structure has many paths in and out.

Castle – (Ghost Recon) / Suitable for 12 to 16 players

The mighty castle walls and excavation within provide lots of cover and CQB, while thick wooded countryside offers ample stealth and sniping opportunities.

Maybe this will come later as an Expansion at the stores.

And here we go again......buuuu's, sniff's , sob's and dummy spits because they didn't patch it just they way you wanted it to be. :wall:

Face it folks, right now GRAW2 is in the cheap sales bins just about everywhere and UBI can't be expecting to get much more revenue from it...still they have given GRIN an OK to make a patch and release it. GRIN is most likely not getting hardly anything for the work they have invested into it....other than the continued dummy spits from this community.

It's been said before and I'll say it again....don't like it then move on!

@NoFears: Fat chance mate...a snowball has a biffer chance for survival on the face of the sun than what you have of that happening at this stage.

The fix list is not a complete list of all fixes. Here's a small list just to name a few.

- Anti cheat has been polished.

- Updates for the auto screenshot functionality.

- Accuracy bonus when using scopes or iron sights has been altered. Incl M99 fixes.

- Game event logging.

- Mission script spawned weapons ( like RPG's in certain SP missions ) will no longer despawn before the player can use them.

- Fire mode switch bug has been fixed.

- Ammo count in pickup weapons. No more unlimited GL rounds when constantly dropping and picking up a GL equipped weapon.

- Fixed the sound bug with other people using GL in MP

These are just from the top of my head. Don't have a complete list nearby.

coolio. looking forward to it, though it does't look like my major gripe with the game has been fixed (Sprint-to-shoot animations. it constantly looks like you're getting shot by people in the middle of a sprint)

and I hope the "M240" isn't really the M240. that's a big bulky weapon, rarely used by small Spec Ops teams like the Ghosts. the MK48 is much much more common
