Brettzies Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Since I started messing with the character's look, I figured I should add a few things to their arsenal as well. I wouldn't really carry a shotgun myself, but I like the way it looks when one of the other guys does. I put it together yesterday and started the texture today. The ironsight actually lines up using the crye anim set, but the reload is pretty crazy. I like the buttstock and was too lazy to do the collapasable one. Also, finally made an eotech. MrNothing Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 (edited) lol ok Brettzies, if you can please add an AN-PEQ 2 to the M4/M16/M468 and SPR, add a 30 round magazine instead of a 20 round mag for the SPR and an Elcan scope and maybe a tanned grip, butt stock and handgaurd for all the weapons maybe ? that would be really great and awesome ! i hope that was better lol XD and i dont think a C7 is needed in the game because the M4 and C7 are basically AR-15's but C7 in canadian and M4 is more american/international made or used. The shotgun is pretty much a hack, so there will be issues but I thought it would be cool and fairly easy to model and add anyway. It uses the crye(mrc) anim set since that matches the closest in grip and ironsight. However, that also means it reloads like an mrc. I've experimented with combining anim sets before, it kind of works but broke some of the other weapons. It would never be correct though because you reload on shell at a time and even with the m99, one reload would put eight rounds in. I'm not even sure why I made the shotgun. It just seemed like a cool thing. Maybe it was seeing the teammates in cod4 carry it. SpringMan Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 (edited) damn first the eotech and now the M1014, not to mention the SIG! if only there were some new SP missions to use them in. will the commando be primary or backup weapon? if custom shotgun animations aren't possible (and we all know they aren't), then i can live with that, the game is in dire need of a shotgun. buckshot would be a difficult matter, maybe you can mess with the burst fire values or something? I know Snowfella had one in Graw1, I can't remember if it did anything. I suppose it's possible, but not high on my list right now. MrNothing Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 (edited) yea AN-PEQ's are like laser pointers they look pretty cool if brett does add them it would be cool if it was added to all the weapons and was put on the side of the rails. and maybe a front grip with flashlight would be cool too like what you said. and yea i think it would look nice visually brett ! if theres a way to work it in graw 2 that would be better but it most likely work with night vision only. It will end up being a visible light laser and unless you start feddling around with billboard effects you'll never see the beam but just a dot where you are aiming. Cod4 looks amazing. I will say it's much more enjoyable to test things in the training grounds and not see those ACU crye suits with the space helmets on everyone. They just all looked the same for one thing. I don't know what it is about them but they are not appealing in this game at all. For some reason I don't mind them so much in the x360 games. MrNothing Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 well they look really nice visually so if its hard to like add a PEQ2 to work that i dont mind and probably other people won't mind if its just there for looks and normally you know how there on the top of the rails. well maybe if you're able to add the PEQ2 to the side like how its done in COD 4 (best game btw lol) then i'd think that would be pretty cool and if you are adding it - instead of making it an attachment, can you just instead add it on the weapon anyways ? maybe for the Scar and HK 416 it should be an attachment. btw snowfella i really liked your M4 for graw because i liked how your were able to add an PEQ2 lol =] it would've been better if you could add custom sounds but meh got used to it lol. SpringMan Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 i added snowfella's PEQ to my personal graw2. the red dot is, and i hope this isn't taken the wrong way, useless, but the model itself really adds to the looks, even if it doesn't properly fit on every weapon. makes the ghosts seem so much more "profeshnuh". personally i wouldn't mind more "useless" gadgets, let's just say we use it as alternative to the front grip with increased stability. MrNothing Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) wow how did you do that if you mind sending me that magpul with the an peq that would be great =] and well maybe but i really dont like when the weapons held near the magazine cause thats just totally wrong lol so i think it should be added for looks cause again. they do look pretty nice unless you can make it work properly with the laser with NV and more as a mod thats already added on then a alternative. SpringMan Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 sry this is snowfellas mod, all i did was write some lines in some XMLs. even if i was allowed to give you the files, you couldn't do anything with it, since the XMLs are customized for my GRAW2 with the mods i added. you can do it yourself, download snowfellas great GRAW1 M4 mod, his even greater Masada mod and start messing around with the XMLs (make sure you make backups!!!).
