Incubus 0
Well, I'm just about done with the AGL. I couldn't find any pictures good enough to use for making a bitmap, so I resorted to painting my own. It doesn't look too bad, but it's still not the same as a real pic. Let me know what you think of it so far. Any tips on improvement, etc. This was a bit of a challenge for two reasons, 1: this was my first weapon model in 3DS MAX, and 2: outside of a few bad photos, I've never seen a Mk19 before in my life. Yes, I know...the ammo box is missing. I didn't add it in to this set of pics because I wanted more of the gun model to show for criticism.
EricJ 0
I like it so far. The only problem I forsee (unless you already got there) is when you assign the left and right hand HelperPoints. Especially when standing up, as to my knowledge that's only how it works.
swartsz 7
wow, that is one cool weapon! good work
Godfather 0
Looks great, but... Take a look at this pic and you will see that the upper portion of the receiver and the feed tray cover are a little off in your model. Hope this helps... Gunny out. Incubus 0
Godfather, that pic will help me out a LOT doing this model. The only pics I could ever find were small and grainy, and almost all were side views. Using that pic you just posted, I can fix a lot of the irregularities, etc. Thanks. If you or anyone else has any pics of the Mk19 that I could use, please email them to me at AZsFastestZ24@aol.com Thanks for the help guys!

Avey 0
will this be a replacement for the fixed grenade launcher in Island Thunder or as a weapon that the player can pick?? I think we have a new master weapons modeller, good job
Incubus 0
I think we have a new master weapons modeller, good job Well, it's good to know that all that college tuition money did go to some good use. I should be getting a new version of 3DS MAX within the next 2 weeks, so after that I can set up this model for export to GR As for it's use in the game, it will definately be a stationary gun; and I am trying to make it work as a kit weapon. Keep in mind though, that the gun with cradle and tripod weights about 140lbs., so if it is a kit weapon the ammo will be in relatively short supply. I've read about the Mk 19 having decent mobility, BUT in real life there is a crew of 2 or 3 guys working the gun. 200 pounds is a lot easier to move around when you have several people taking the load. I'm on a modeling 'high' right now, so if there are any weapons you'd like to see modeled I'd be more than happy to take a crack at it. Just send me an email with your request azsfastestz24@aol.com
Ruin 17
Looks great! Might want to scale it to fit with a model though, so it can be stationary.
