Rocky
You know how as you get up the ranks, your abilities become more lethal due to the increased fire power and perks? I was thinking, what if as the more time you put in and more expert you became at playing, that your abilities were actually REDUCED? In this way it would present a more level playing field for beginners and pro's alike. As it stands it must be hard for n00bs to break in to the game with all these rank 55 benefitiing not only from map familiarity, but increased firepower and perks. Just a crazy idea. Saint
Spawn camping and now this...Rocky, take your meds... It's an interesting concept, but one that most gamers would probably not be too keen on, as typically the dedicated players expect the perks. (no pun intended) I think CoD4 incorporates the ranks and such really well. It doesn't take too long to rank up and when another player dies you can always pick up their weapon - balances it out somewhat. But to keep the "crazy idea" going...why not just give the new recruits an auto aim assist and as they rank up, the sensitivy goes away until at higher levels...you're on your own. +Medic+~SPARTA~
An easier way to do this is to break the ranks into three groups and then set up a server that allowed only a player of the specified rank group in. This may have to be moderated by an admin or server moderator, rather than being automated, but it is very doable.
Rpghard
I think this game is ranking to fast...it took me 2 weeks to be a 5 star commander...in a few time everybody will be a 5 star commander ...
Commander Outcast
I think there should be more server filters. n00bs, intermediate, and expert. Edited January 15, 2008 by Commander Outcast
custard~SPARTA~
How about no perks and a level playing field.
Forrester
I think Rocky's idea would be great to try out..... There will be mod-tools soon so servers running mods will become more familiar.....

That's a brilliant idea...Didn't Joint Operations have that...I know there was a game that did awhile ago, but I can't recall what it was. I like your idea though. Sairus
This isn't WoW. 55 is pretty quick to get. I leveled up in about 36 hours and still see 55 lvl noobs. Also if you haven't heard there is a patch that gives you level 55 when you apply it.
Lightspeed
Rocky makes me laugh. but the issue is valid - in many games not just this one. although i guess this game couple experience with added perks - so the noobs end up twice as disadvantaged,
Forrester
there's mod-tools out, and as far as I understand the patch for the mod-tools allows you to mod archievements....(perks)
zeno
I may be misunderstanding you, but if you keep playing at level 55, you eventually go back to zero and have to work your way up again. But I imagine most people save there level 55 profiles.

I think you have to jump thought all the hoops first (Rank & challenges) I’m stuck on shooting all the opposite team while falling 2 foot from ground stunned with one arm and no legs
Rocky
LOL, I pay zero attention to the challenges, I should go see what I have still got to do, I'll bet there's a tonne.
