Zantar45 0
I need help. I need RAM for my PC, I went to my local staples (I know,Bad idea) My PC uses DDR PC2100. I asked a employee if the PC210 and PC2100 were the same and if they would work for my AMD Athlon 1600+ XP Processor. He said "They are both the same, there should be no problem" Now I bought the PC210 but it says 2100 on the chip, will it work? I really dont want to kill my PC, thats why I need help. -Thank you in advance
Ruin 17
I've never heard of PC210. I'm assuming it's a misprint or something. Because if there really is a PC210, it's going to slow down your memory by a lot! lol. -I am NOT Responsible for any problems YOU cause on YOUR machine by using the RAM YOU purchased...-
Stinger 0
I think it was a misprint too. BTW, your CPU has nothing to do really with the Ram. Its all in the mobo and chipset.
Zantar45 0
Ok, I'm gonna install it. Ok it might be a misprint, it is PNY DDR266 Memory. BTW, you two better start raising money for my new PC if it fries. If I lose GR, I got nothing else to lose and STAPLES WILL FALL!!!! Have a nice day

Urban_Tiger 0
Hehehe, May pay in the future to visit Crucial.com and get ya RAM there, big savings and reliable brands etc too ! If your "Staples" branches over there are anything like the ones in the UK when it comes to computers, then next time you can borrow one of our "English Barge Poles" to not touch them with hehehehe

Zantar45 0
Ahhhh All is well It works, PC is running faster and now I can play all the GR/DS/IT maps only with little lag (F'n 56k I love and hate you) Well it looks like I will be making another visit to Staples to snatch up some more ram. (256Mb DDR is only $50 not to mention the $15 mail in rebate) Thanks for the help.I'd rather ask people I hardly know over the internet then trust a employee who tells me to my face. lol
