maiku.no.mikoto 0
Hi. New to forum. heard yall were geniuses so.... i am having a time getting any type of multiplayer setup going with any of my friends (in know its retarded but fr some reason nothing works, and i am experienced with routers ports ect) . i have the slowest bandwidth of all, so i cant host here. however i have a dedicated unix hosting account and wanted to maybe use it to host a recon server. is there any way to, and exactly how would i, set up and run/host a recon server in an unix environment? thanks - mainu.no.mikoto
Dannik 43
The only server package that exists for Ghost Recon is the Windows binary that is the game client as well. In order to host in a *nix environment, you would need to use something like WINE to get the server running. You would also need to ensure that the server met all of the system specs for Ghost Recon as they appear on the package. Dedicated server or no, it still needs a compatible video card, sound card, etc.
