ELITEBATTLEFIELD 0
Hi to all, I have the "Gold Edition" pack. It has the Ghost Recon single install disk along with DS and IT on a single install disk. I can install Ghost Recon just fine , however when I do the install DS and IT with the combo disk: 1.) I am then unable to play even Ghost Recon at this point by itself. It loads then crashes to the desktop 2.) There is no listed ike crash file to point that would at least give me some explanations I dl'd GRAW 2 and it works flawlessly, but this is very frustrating. Can anyone lend some suggestions? Buehgler_AS 0
If by "it loads, then crashes to desktop" you mean that it crashes after you select a mission to play and you wait through a splash screen, then by all means post the ike..og that you have. This type of crash is typically about missiong or misplaced "addon" content -- in your case that would be the DS and/or IT content. If I misunderstood and you are crashing as soon as you get to the main menu, then I am afraid I am not sure what would cause this
Tinker 1
All i found so far: Cpl Ledanek Nov 13 2006, 12:32 AM OGR1/DS/IT installed separately and in order, you'll have no problem. But from the Gold Edition, its seems to dislike any nVidia cards higher than 6600 128MB.
ELITEBATTLEFIELD 0
The last time I installed Tinker was on my Dell laptop years ago P III 2.0 Ghz 1000 MB Ram ATi 64 MB Win XP w/ SP 1 But if I just install Ghost Recon by itself I get no crashes and the game works properly? It seems to be something going wrong with the DS + IT install which are both on one disk.

NoQuarter 0
@ OP: Did you use the full install (DX8, Ubi.com) option?, Did the autorun of MP1, MP2 report a successful installation? Are you able to "explore" the GRGOLDDISC? @Tinker: But from the Gold Edition, its seems to dislike any nVidia cards higher than 6600 128MB. I have the Gold Edition (2 disc, CD, US) installed and running flawlessly with a 8800GTX (WinXP).

The autorun did boot and did report a successful install iii.) Yes I am able to explore the GOLDDISC. iv.) GR works fine with nVidia cards though. It seems only GR work and not the combi disk of DS and IT Edited December 19, 2007 by ELITEBATTLEFIELD
Rocky 1,224
This is a mystery. Have you tried official Ubi support?
wombat50 545
Are mp1 and mp2 in your GhostRecon/mods folder?
ELITEBATTLEFIELD 0
Are mp1 and mp2 in your GhostRecon/mods folder? Wombat they are both in the MODS folder. Rocky I have not tried the Ubi support as of yet . I figured it'd be something simply in the long run to fix but it seems I might have to go there . I'll sit on this post for just a while longer and see what pops up.

wombat50 545
This isn't your specific problem but may be worth trying. There is an issue with the gold pack as far as playing on the UBI game service. Maybe this didn't happen to all but the work around was to: - uninstall GR, then reinstall in this order: -Install GR -d/l and install the 1.3 and 1.4 patches and install them.(yes I know they are on the gold pack) -Lastly, install DS and IT. I can't remember the specifics about playing UBI with the gold pack. The game service didn't recognize your game version...well its been awhile. I had that trouble myself with the gold pack but wasn't that hot on gaming at UBI so I let it go. d/l 1.3 and 1.4 patches here: http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php...egory&id=28 Uninstalling/Re-installing GR http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=11277
