IndyAries 0
Greetings, I have GR Gold working on my new Vista Ultimate computer. However, when I try to tweak the MODS (GUN or KIT) files using Notepad, I am not allowed to save the changes. Has anyone else had this problem, and discovered a work-around? NOTE: I can tweak these files on an XP machine.
thales100 44
Thats weird, yeah i run on XP and its all fine, are you sure the "read only" box of the .gun and .kit is unchecked ?
IndyAries 0
Yes, I've change the read-only property. Vista tries to save as a TXT file. I change that to ALL FILES, but I still cannot save any changes. And here I thought I was the administrator!!

ROCO*AFZ* 0
It is because it installs to Program Files. Any program in there does not get admin rights. The fix is right click on your UBI folder. Change the permissions for user to full control and all sub folders and files. Then you should be able to make changes. I'll give it a try tonight.
ROCO*AFZ* 0
No problem. It is the same on xp if your not an admin. Anything in program files must have your user user rights for you to save unless you are an admin. Example... my sister is a admin for xp. her kids are not. They couldn't save there saved game files because they had no right to write to program files. solution was to do the above just to there game directory.
