Round 1 ended!

]RS[ (Rabidd Saints) Recon Battalion won 1st round of the competition with a score of 70 points.

151st and Bad Azz Danes tied at 56 points for runner-up position.

The mission will be public from tuesday 1000 LONDON time. Please hold all public posts/information until then due to the fact that Tactical Gamer is gonna play the mission in an internal coop tournament monday.

Those replays that we have saved will be available for download from the SSL website approx tuesday.

It has been a pleasure for the competition crew to watch you guys (and girls) play mission 1.

Good game!

Excellent!

I just want to do two things:

First, I want to tell my team; ]RS[ (Rabidd Saints) Recon Battalion - that I am very proud of them! We used to be a laddering only team and got hooked on co-op play when we did the Stealth Recon tourney (also hosted by Alpha Squad).. and now we do both and it's clear that practice has been paying off.

Second, Thanks to Alpha Squad for pulling this together for the GR community. It is A LOT of fun. Thanks!

Actually.. ]RS[ was wondering if we could just say the competition is over after the one mission. That way, we can just stay at the top! (otherwise I have a feeling our joy of being #1 will be short lived..)

Whatcha say Chavez?

Mission 2 sheduling opened

Mission 2 will be played from friday the 13th 2000 London Time. Start sheduling ASAP please. Valid match starting times are from 1pm New York time to 11pm New York time. All sheduling will this time go through Iceman25 by email only.

Please be adviced - all sheduling MUST be done before 18th June 10pm New York Time. The timeslot picked must be within June. Try to play ASAP as the scores will be held secret until the last team has played. That means there is no advantage on sheduling for a late timeslot.

Also we have some brand new scripters within Alpha Squad already working on mission 3.

Visit the SSL forum for the totally updated info and details.

(forum is currently down)

Get ready for some stealth action and fun.

Good luck!

To the teams that hasn't requested a timeslot for mission 2 yet. Send Iceman an email to tell him you are with us, but haven't found a timeslot yet, as we are preparing backup teams to jump in at the 18th for those teams that doesnt find a timeslot by then. We will allow play all june but the timeslot must be sheduled BEFORE 18th LATEST. That includes also the time Iceman25 needs to confirm your timeslot.

Double time - double time :rocky:

After serious consideration - It has been decided by Team |S.O.T.O|'s Command Authority to withdraw Our Team from the "2003 SSL Tournament"...

Simply Stated - We apologize for ANY Inconveniences this may cause AlphaSquad in Rescheduling other ( Reserve ) Teams for Dates and Times.

Team |S.O.T.O| wishes AlphaSquad and ALL of the other Teams in the "2003 SSL Tournament" all the Best in their Future Endeavours and thanks all Involved for their Efforts on Our Behalf...

Sincerely,

I see that the spoiled brats from GR.net have finally decided to get out of bed and play Mission 2. I'm not sure if you guys have been just sleeping all of this time, (you certainly do need the 'beauty sleep'), or if you have been cowering under the bed :( in hope that 'mission 2' will just vanish, and leave you all alone.

Everyone else has long since played this mission from hell, and we would like to see the scores. So if you spoiled brats wouldn't mind,.... GET IN THERE AND RUMBLE!!! (even if it does make all of your patent white leather shoes and long gold chains a bit dirty!

Good Luck, today, GR.Net. ;)
