This one is effected by server version, so if you download right away, you may have trouble finding servers tonight.

DESCRIPTION:

This is the release of the v1.3 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfareâ„¢ patch by Infinity Ward.

This patch addresses the issue reported by community member Uzi Kidding which now catches some files bypassing the pure client test. In addition this update will set properties so that Anti-lag is always enabled upon map loads, an optimization for Sniper Rifle accuracy at certain distances (as well as ACOG scopes), as well a fix so text chat between rounds of multiplayer will no longer cut out at the end. The 1.3 patch will also include all previous fixes from previous patches.

Sniper is better now, but so far the kill cam has been way off. Example ... i was hiding behind a bunker and a guy came around, i shot and straffed out and he took me fair in square. On the kill cam it showed me never move nor shoot.

I was 109 ping and he was around 90.

I think this lag fix may cause problems for kill cams.

The death cam discrepancy is worrying, if it's just the death cam getting it wrong fair enough, but it looks like what you are shown is what the server based the kill on, and as you say, as far as you know you let off several rounds, the server however says no. That's bad.

Thanks m8. As soon as the 1.5 GRAW2 patch is released I will add it. Hopefully they will make it a 1.0 to 1.5 cumulative patch.

I do have a good bit of stuff for GRAW2 and CoD4 but as far as GR goes Rocky is still and I think will always be THE MAN!! for GR downloads.

Also the bad part of CoD4 1.3 patch is mods wont work with it. Such as my Reticle Mod.

Well I've seen discussions about clans taking the 1.3 patch off due to server connection timeouts and other trouble...

I haven't read up on it yet... but here is what i see. There is more lag with the 1.3 lag fix. The Kill cam was only a little off... now it's completely. An example is i was behind a bunker and as the guy rounded and shot at me, i straffed and shot also hitting him a few times but he took me fair and square.

Now what kill cam showed was i never moved. I remained stationary. He never got hit and he owned me.

I think this patch really fudged the net code.

I'm not sure if its the patch or the game but i know i can still watch myself getting killed in the deathcam and it bears very little relation to what actually happened from my perspective, but to be honest i have sort of become used to it now, even if i don't like it :rolleyes:

Well, this is a bit of an annoyance to me too, almost to the point I'd rather not have the kill cam because it makes me think I've been cheated out of a kill.

I'll play a fair bit tonight and see how it looks now though.

Is their a way to tell which servers have kill cam on, and also, possibly unrelated, in the server browser what are the 4 columns on the right supposed to be telling me? I see lots of ticks, but no clue what they mean apart from wierd icons.

Well you played a fair bit yesterday, was nice to see you on our server.

Did you like our set-up?

Our servers don't have kill-cam on. We have one S&D and one on Headquarters mode, but that one iw porblably gonna rotate thrugh all (most?) gametypes to get more variation. :rocky:

I dont mind the kill cam if it is on servers that have a ten second or more respawn count. It makes the time go by a little faster as the kill cam takes generally 6 to 8 seconds to view.

If the server is set to insta-spawn (no spawn count), the kill cam will actually reduce the amount of time you spend playing as you need to let it end or end it manually to spawn. At least you can end it if you dont want to see it.

This option also gives the player a few seconds if needed to catch their breath after a fire fight or whatever, instead of spawning right back into it to get destroyed again.
