WhiteKnight77 1
Funny thing is, it is an anti-war movie and not getting much of a rise out of the public here in the States along with a bunch of other anti-war movies that have been recently or are soon to be released. More about this in the 'Anti-' doesn't Sell article in yesterday's USAToday. They mention how big the anti-war movies are in Europe and The Kingdom is one of them. More about this in the 'Anti-' doesn't Sell article in yesterday's USAToday. They mention how big the anti-war movies are in Europe and The Kingdom is one of them. Funny that. I've mainly seen negative reviews of it. The last one described it as a rather lame flagwaving-patriotic-pro-American action flick. No idea how well it's done at the box-office though. I think the main critique is that the characters are one-dimensional and stereotypical. Haven't seen it myself though so I'm just quoting reviews. And reviews are by definition useless. Whisper_44 0
In the first 5 minutes, it makes you hate a culture of people, then slowly strips away the blanket of hate, and focuses it on a specific segment. Characters were ok, not the best I've ever seen, but it was an entertaining 2 hours..
