Touch_Nova 0
I just purchased Ghost Recon, installed it, then updated with patches v1.3 and v1.4. When I click on the desktop shortcut "Ghost Recon on ubi.com", it asks me if I want to update now. I select "YES", the splash screen for Ubi.com comes up, disappears, then the patch dialogue box comes up. It shows that I need to download a patch that is 1.8Mb in size, then it says "Ubi.com Auto Patcher", in the box is "Friends List v4.3.0.6 to v4.3.0.7". The patch program then locks up on me and causes a fatal error. An error dialogue comes up saying: This program has performed an illegal operation... Details include: GLPATCHER2 caused an invalid page fault in module PATCHW32.DLL at 0167:01a269e7. It included downloading a specific .reg file and Ubi's game service in an .exe file. If anyone has endured this same situation and might possibly help out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Touch_Nova
NightCrawler 137
Sorry that I can't help you with the Ubi problem. But I can steer you to maybe another alternative, called The All Seeing Eye. Here's a link, free to try indefintely. http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/ It's definately easier too use and easier on your PC's valuable resources. GL
Guest snipe21
To Touch_Nova, UBI Game Service .exe Try this: JJ_from_support wrote: 1. First, try uninstalling the Game Service from the add/remove programs icon in your control panel. Once that's done, download the set-up file from http://gamingzone.ubisoft.com/packages/GameService.exe and reinstall the new version of the game service. If this doesn't work go to # 2. 2.Create an incident with us here and I'll send you a file that will remove all of the registry entries for the game service, and you'll be able to reinstall it. Please make sure that you change the category to "Ubi.com Game Service," or it will take me forever to find it.
