Nope, not the MH-53, they wont be selling that varient (Special Operations) to anyone else

the CH-53 (cargo/transport) models are operated by a number of nations

So whats the replacement ?

None, the MH-53 is still going strong since it's last upgrade and will be around for a number of years to come.

*In a few years We may see an Osprey variant take on a little bit of the work for certain operations

The USAF will be flying Chinooks soon :woot: . Specifically the HH-47. Along with the CV-22 Osprey (providing it works as advertised), the USAF should be fairly well covered in terms of SOF airframes.

EDIT: Selection of the HH-47 has been withdrawn and the final selection delayed until Feb. 08 because of issues with the bidding process. The HH-47 is still in the race and probably still the top contender.

The Marines are in a somewhat different situation...

:) Not had much PC time over the last 2 weeks , but managed to fish the MH53 model today :thumbsup: so hopfully i can get the textures done thisweek along with finishing of the textures for the unimog :unsure:

I have done the blades but they are hiden in the SS, also i did not do the crew, they have been borrowed :D
