WhiteKnight77
Firefly, it is a PC issue not an Xbox issue. I thought you had the PC version. I am gonna go to Best Buy this weekend and take some pics of the back of random PC game boxes to see what other publishers, outside of Ubi put on them regarding copyright protection warnings. firefly2442
I have the PC version. And right on the top of the game it says "Games for Windows"... I think they're lying.... Edited February 4, 2009 by firefly2442
krise madsen
Epic's Mark Rein says the problem is they goofed on how the digital certificate works with the .exe (don't ask me what that means I'm just parroting him). They're not supposed to shut the game down when the certificate expires. Rein also said they're working with Microsoft to solve the problem, which could allude to GfWL as reported elsewhere. Or not. Source: Ars Technica Respectfully krise madsen PS: I still say GoW is a bit gay and GfWL is crap, but hey, that's just me.
Sup
The nominees for the Shortbus Award, in the category of "Most Incompetent Developer and/or Publisher" are: Ubisoft, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Electronic Arts: Spore Sony Online Entertainment: The Shadow Odyssey Epic: Gears of War (PC) And Shortbus Award goes to ... drumroll ... EPIC! Microsoft, not epic, this is a Games for Windows Live! issue. I have yet to have any of my "Games for Windows" games cease to function. Ergo, the problem is not with Microsoft. The problem is with Epic. Well, it's kindof both. It's epic's mistake, but the reason the whole system is broken is that GWFL is a cumbersome, ridiculous platform and it adds a lot of unnecessary complexity and undesirable redundancy. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/02...ate-not-drm.ars
