Giampi Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 I recently bough a laptop for my father (my mother died nearly 2 months ago and I thought it was something that could help him to spend the days). My father never used a computer before and also this one was supplied with Vista version Basic (the laptop I bought is entry level with Sempron). I installed Ubuntu in dual boot with Vista and my father is using almost only Ubuntu that is much faster and safe. I prefer Asus over Acer, however I belive your choice is if she has not any needs or playing recent games (as there is no specification of graphic card I believe it is integrated) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Need your wise opinion(s) Thanks in advance Depends... most acers have a VERY high gloss screen... meaning outdoors you can't read it or under any bright lights because of the glare. Just a heads up.
