New Speakers

Recommended Posts

Forgot to mention that I got my new speakers the other day. I just left them sitting around while waiting for my other parts, but I couldn't take it anymore, so I went ahead and hooked them up. I just have to say....WOW.

I went with the Altec Lansing 621 set -- they fit my needs, since I primarily was interested in sound quality for music purposes. I also didn't care about surround sound. Quite impressive. Massive subwoofer. 200 watts of total power. I can't wait to hear them with my sound card in the new computer.

So I take it your computer parts arrived safe and sound?

Speakers look great... better than mine.

I saw the 5.1 version of those, and they're so purrty. lol.

Great stuff, I hope you enjoy it.

You know what I think about those speakers and computer (whenever it gets there) ;)

It will probably sound awesome with your new sound card. Can't wait to hear your opinions about it.....

BTW, even with my really old, tired sound card in this machine it sounds great! Just for you guys, I'm testing them right now. If you listen, you might be able to hear the live version of Hotel California.

Aaahh.  See, I was wrong.  I thought you wanted my old ones, along with my old computer. ;)  Which you weren't going to get, either. :P

Yeah, well, I would have settled for the old speakers and computer, as they are better than what I have, but would prefer the new ones....
