BS PALADIN
First of all kudos for still staying on the forums. It just shows how much of a fan you really are of Ghost Recon. Anyway i wanted to know if every a map or mission editor was considered for any of the Gost Recon titles on the xbox or 360.
Serellan
Yes, it was talked about, especially on GRAW, but the production pipeline always made it unfeasible to implement.
BS PALADIN
Thanks once again for the response. Maybe with the next Ghost Recon getting a longer production time we will see some form of mission editor.
methz68
Shame that, Always said they should have scrapped the Single player and spent the cash on the multiplayer. but who am I? Single player has a really short life span just like watching a film. Imagine they did design a editor with GRAW? what would the scene be like now? BS PALADIN
SP sells 70%+ of the number of sales. Single player is vital for Ghost Recon. But if a Ghsot Recon game comes out with a good mission/map editor then it will become massive. Especially if supported by both the community sites and Ubisoft. Fair point, Maybe they should have designed it so it could be played single player or Co-op.
Deadpreacher
One way or the other, a inside game editor or going with allowing mods through the XNA pipe line or what ever they now going to call it nowadays is going to be more and more common before the end of this Gen. I still preferre at least a inside game editor to at least control Coop Missions! Just alittle something to keep it fresh don't have to be much! Yet since MS finally came out and said something, what was it 2 months ago i think? They finaly spoke out they are given the Dev the right to choose if they want there came moddable to any ave Joe. Some of the guys i know at MS are saying x360 is setting up for it this year so it can be done in the fall update, but you still won't see much of it until at least next year 2008 with around 2 games usen it. Than by 2009 might be the year it should start to increase in afew more games with even more speacil tools set out by MS to make the most of it. Anyways its in the works to allow games to be moddable, now its up to the makers if they want it to be or not. I'm affraid they may have waited to long 2009 may be a good year to get more into it, but i believe it won't be until 2010 until its becomes kind of common in most games if it really takes off that is. By then we all might be getting ready for another next Gen of consoles, just when things are getting good!
