Ruin 17
I think Trillian Dislike Jack57. Lol. After I added him to my budy list, it immediatley signed me off. No biggie, I TIRIEd to hop back on. Now, whenever I do, it signs on briefly, and then disconnects. Within a split second of eachother. Is anyone lese having this problem, or only me? This is for the MSN portion BTW. AIM and ICQ work fine. I just hate using MSN Messenger Only with my one account though...
Guest Jester
Sorry, Ruin. You know I only use ICQ and then it's only rarely. Does Triallian store some kind of profile that lists all of the people you have on your lists? If so, you could try backing that up, then reinstalling. Just a guess -- again, I don't know the program, but reinstalling tends to fix problems like that when software goes haywire -- though it's not always the case. Ruin 17
Just reinstalled and it did nothing... I wil try a full uninstall and then install... Unlike what I said above, it now wont work for either account.

Guest Jester
BTW, moderation mode: Bad Ruin! This is in the wrong forum! Moving to appropriate forum.
Ruin 17
Wrong forum?? This is where I would have moved it to... lmao. Anyway, I did a complete clean install... still nothing. Even ran the RegCleaner after I unstalled... Still nadda.
RooK 0
I, too, am stumped about the wrong forum thing Trillian gave me some problems with AIM a while back, but turns out AOL had tried to make trillian not work again with some changes. Trillian responded a day later with a 200kb update
Guest Jester
Wrong forum?? Yeah.......you had it in Technical Support. "Post in here for technical assistance with installing and running Ghost Recon." I moved it to Computer Discussions. "Discuss computers, hardware, software, internet, website etc. in here." Where's the confusion?
Ruin 17
Gotcha, just figured it'd be something that the tech guys could help me out with easier... I know that Mac has his act in order when it comes to tech problems (GR or not) No biggie @Rook, thanks for the info. I will check the site and see if there are any patches. Specter 0
Well, here we go with the slow loads again, only at this site. sigh. Anyway, I had trouble with trillian also. I now use ATT IM Anywhere. It logs in ICQ, Messenger, and AIM, as well as yahoo, all in a single window, and its free.
Dannik 43
Trillian is a bit of a hack when it comes to connecting to messenger networks, and as such, isn't quite as bulletproof on each network, as the standard client. Frankly, getting disconnected from MSN is more likely a M$ network problem than Trillian. I've had times where using Trillian I could connect to ICQ, when the ICQ app wouldn't negotiate a connection. Odd, but that's the nature of it. I put it to you that this little problem, Ruin, will go away as quick as it appeared, at least from my experience.

Guest Jester
Went to the forums at the site. The guys there got me going instantly. Hmm....guess we should have thought of that.
Ruin 17
lol. Apparently it's a known problem where the MSN contacts get mixed up with otherones and vice-versa. Now if anyone else has the same problem, they know what to do!
Super-Bob 0
Never had that problem.
