About stock maps vs mods: I remember [GR] games serveral years ago on *PR* (predator ?) server. They used stock maps but with different colors or different times, without the need to download them. I think it was a sort of software hack or hex edit because I never saw these modifications on another server. Each game was a challenge. Random time/weather/fog (and insertion of course) should be an option on stock maps for diversity and surprises.

I am also for custom mods and maps, and think that they should be the only and default mode on 4-5 clan servers during 1 week to force the mod as a "standard". Every evening I'm looking for a server with this TRR mod but I cannot find one...

btw good job Lightspeed, I have already downloaded the new one (34 maps) and hope to find a server one day :)

That was becuase it was possible do by changing the environment files for stock maps, the server then uploaded the "new" environments to the client upon mapload.

Would have been so much easier if that was possible in GR:AW2 ,but the AntiCheat does not allow it , It would be caught as "altered game files" from what i know..

Dont know if AC were turned of, that it would be possible maybe... perhaps someone knows?

Lighty.

I downloaded and your trr map pack but when i try to enter the castle day trr game on the server list it says that they are running a map that i dont have.

I deleted your trr map pack and re downloaded it as i thought you might have added the castle day map to a later version but i still get the same message.

Is castle day trr in your full bundle? Or do i need to find it elsewhere?

*** update. Ah i jus noticed the link in your sig. I'm now downloading the newer version of yoru bundle. I think some people will still be following the path from the front end news page of gr.net though and going to the downloads section then to filefont or whatever and getting an old version.

havent seen that error myself - are u using modded weapons?

Custom level bundle trrpack contains an invalid file path

whats up with that?

take biros castle day out of the customs_level folder - i have included what he made in mine and with night versions.

When i have the latest trr bundle in my custom folder together with the new coop Castle day the game won't start and it says there is an error wit the trr bundle. If i take one or the other out it starts ok.

So i dont know which one is causing the problem.

Actually they both are... it is because both bundles contains the map castle_day.

Unless one of the bundles are going to be edited they wont coexist, so for now, you cant have both in the "custom_levels" at the same time.. :(
