GRT 0
i went into photoshop and tried to resave it has .rsb becuase i have two different ones so i thought i might of got it mixed up.when i tryed to save it came up a box like normal with the 2 different formats. R5G6B5 then R8G8B8 i tried both and they both say this Texture cannot be saved due to the following error(s) Width is not a power of 2 Height is not a power of 2 then it shows the valid powers

I've had the same problem with one kit too, I just resaved it. Also, it could be that you didn't texture map a certain part of the weapon. A myriad things as well, all the vertices aren't matching up properly. And you scaled the weapon properly too? As for the RSB issue, Ghost Recon is supposed to automatically change the bitmap format to RSB.

As for the RSB issue, Ghost Recon is supposed to automatically change the bitmap format to RSB. they are all texture mapped.and i think all the vertices are matching up right.and it is scaled down(i used some of pains models).and when i had the bitmap i didnt copy it to my texture folder,i went into photoshop and saved it has .rsb.Should i convert it back to bitmap and just copy it into my texuture folder
Marcinko 1
GR doesnt change it, when u texture ur weps, u texture them with a rsb, and when u save as a rsb, the have to be in powers of two, only selected powers of two though, such as 512x256, 1024x128, that sort of thing. And if u didnt put the points on the gun, i dont belive it will show up in game, noty sure, havent tried it, but do make sure u scaled it right, then put points. l-li†m/-\n 0
dude... ive had the same problem. if u can select the weapon, go ahead and start the mission. when u start, ull know if u scaled it right, it will look like Godzilla's gun if it isnt scaled right. most of mine started out being about 4 stories tall in game... GRT 0
thats it even when i try to pick the invisable sniper rifle right when i go to start the game ill click the button and it will crash to desktop.my other rifleman and demo just crash when i go to that kit number. - i know i scaled them right and put the points right because i use pains modeled guns from is tutorial videos to scale each one.and the points i use are the muzzleflash, lefthand, and righthand.i dont use the brasseject but that.i think i just might have to remodel my weapons Edited May 1, 2003 by IF_GRT
Marcinko 1
It crashes? Make sure u have everything named wight, in the equip folders and in the kit folders.
l-li†m/-\n 0
yeah... heres an idea. ive done this and it works great. goto into IGOR and make a new mod, name it TEST now, anything that u are not sure about (i.e. these weapons) put your model in this new mod and name it iw_m16m203.qob put ur texture in the texture folder and of course you dont need to rename that. run the game with NO other mods on except for test. now, start the game and goto firefight or something. then when you try to use the gun or whatever u can rule out ANYTHING else being the problem. this will let u focus on the gun. once the gun is right and you are sure of it, then u can start looking and seeing what else could be the problem. and just a lil side note. anytime u ever make your weapons, make that you are using a .rsb texture in the material editor. to make sure this time that you are using the correct texture file, which should be a .rsb file, load up 3ds, goto material editor and click on your texture. click the lil button right of Diffuse. it should have an M in it. then go and click on BITMAP up top. then double click bitmap in the menu to make sure u have the correct texture file selected. make sure that the name of the file has the .rsb extension and NO others. hope this helps. GRT 0
i decided to remodel them each and try them out right after i make them one by one
Pain 0
If your weapon is not showing up in the selection screen it's because you have not put the weapon model name in the gun file correct. If you have put it in there and it has the EXACT same name as your model, delete the .gun file and make a new one. It's not your model unless when you export it it gives you a model file of 0 kb's. Get with me if you are still having problems. Another note, you don't need the helper points for the gun to work.
The_Slink 0
I've had a crash to desktop with a standard kit regularly. I *think* it's the M4 SOCOM and something.
