OSPerry
the 4 xbox maps are great selections.....some of my favorites.....(though i still miss bunker hill)... thanks for the heads up and thanks to the graw team for the content. That still leaves the PS3 version with 7 more maps doesn't it? DLC throwback map pack #3 coming too, I wonder? Similar to the RB6 Vegas PS3 release then making the DLC free & matching the DLC to make the 360 & PS3 versions equals.

Becky89
On the back of the aussie version of GRAW 2 on the PS3 it says it has 40 maps all up after both map packs but i think its a typo, but no to above we have the same maps now as the PS3

Raith
Sooo,,,thrilled as I am an' all, this is a content download, and doesnt include the mythical patch? New maps, new modes, but my clan won't touch the game with its x-axis issue. Like tormenting a tiger with meat through the cage door. Cons72
Sooo,,,thrilled as I am an' all, this is a content download, and doesnt include the mythical patch? New maps, new modes, but my clan won't touch the game with its x-axis issue. Like tormenting a tiger with meat through the cage door. I agree about the x-axis. Why they didn't make it work as smooth as the y-axis is baffling. I am still looking forward to trying out the new co-op modes, only been waiting 5 1/2 months for those. BS PALADIN
Funny i've only been waiting 3 years+ for a decent Ghost Recon game. Im still waiting.
Alderei
So I've seen a map list, but what are these new co-op types? Can anyone explain them? Thanks!
Cons72
quote: In COOP EXFILTRATION mode, players must work together to protect AI officers as the escort him to a helicopter extraction zone through a map populated with enemies. # COOP EVASION: Players start at an insertion zone with an AI officer and must escort that officer through a map populated with enemies to an extraction zone. # COOP P.O.W.: Players start at an insertion zone and must rescue 3 AI officers being held as captives by enemy troops. Once the officers are rescued, players must safely escort them to an extraction zone.
Alderei
Thanks Cons, That's just exactly what I didn't see anywhere else and wanted to know! Paladin, If only there were modes like this available in Team play.... Still, This should open up some interesting games for the fall. I'm a little foggy on the difference between Evasion and Exfiltration.
Cons72
I have not had a chance to try them yet, but it seems in Evasion, you start with the Officer with your group and try to get him to the extraction. In POW, there are officers that you have to rescue from AI that are guarding them and then lead to extraction. Also, in Evasion the officer has a pistol. In POW the AI hostages have no weapons. 5timechamp
The maps are great....only letdown is that my favorite mode from GRAW is still missing...where is the Team Battle option to play for kills instead of zones?? I know its not a major gametype for most but I love playing local MP against my son with all the great AI soldiers....damn shame.
CR6
Good interview at Team Xbox with Lead Multiplayer Designer Chris Bray about the new DLC. http://features.teamxbox.com/xbox/2043/GRA...-2-Revealed/p2/

I know its not a major gametype for most but I love playing local MP against my son with all the great AI soldiers....damn shame. The Throwback maps are great and all, but why put in maps from the first GRAW? If Ubi wants to do a solid "throwback" pack, why not go way back and add maps from the [Ghost Recon]? Or Island Thunder? Maybe even Desert Siege for those who've not played the games on PC. Or how about Quarry and Pagoda from GR2?

Alderei
I have not had a chance to try them yet, but it seems in Evasion, you start with the Officer with your group and try to get him to the extraction. In POW, there are officers that you have to rescue from AI that are guarding them and then lead to extraction. Also, in Evasion the officer has a pistol. In POW the AI hostages have no weapons. Now that I've played these a bit, they really a lot of fun. They are great game modes in that the Developers were able to extend the Co-Op replay value exponentionally with all the free maps. Crash Site is a really interesting Map, and with the POWS scattered about, the tactical options are are expansive and enjoyable. Add the vehicles to the equataion, and some maps are really quite challenging. To make it better, it'd be great if the OpFor had more than one randomly placed vehicle on some maps, though I can see where the difficulty would increase with multiple vehicles. Only other thing, It'd be great to have a vehicle on tracks like some of the MP campaign missions. Keep an ADAT stationary, but bring in a mobile armored car for kicks that patrols. Other than that, I'm really pleased with the GRAW 2 downloadable content...now if they just keep the support coming 6 months from now, with additional little gems, I'll be set for awhile. Especially if said gem were a Chapter 2 Campaign DLC piece.
