Adding a New Campaign Character

I wanted to try and get the ghillie suit in the game as a selectable character, but I'm having problems with this. I edited files in the ghost_template.xml, all the mission world_info.xml files to look for it, the character name in strings and template, and the game just crashes saying it could not find the character. Has anyone managed to add more characters to use in SP?

heh for one I cant even get the ghillie suit to work, try searching for the forum where it was originally posted and maybe you can get some reference points there, but i'd tend to think that all you do is look for all the files that make a charactor copy them but edit them to whichever charactor you want. note this is just a guess lol

Did both of those. I tried it with both the local folder and as a bundle, no luck. I'm not sure where all the references are for a character though. I was hoping I could just do a name change on a string and have each world_info.xml file look for that like it does for the other 6 characters, but that's not working.

Just swap the xdefine name (not the unit name) of the Hume entries in the ghost_templates.xml. It works on all of the SP maps and on the Ageia Island map...all without a PPU.

It (the ghillie) isn't much to look at, but it is different.

I'm not trying to replace a character, I'm trying to add one by putting in the ghillie suit but giving it a different name, bringing the number of snipers up to 2.
