||Gallardo||
Anyone have any idea why the main menu music in Ghost Recon is unchangable? If you try and change it, once it starts to play the music the game just shuts down.

Just rename your new file to match the old one and make sure it's the same format etc.
+Medic+~SPARTA~
The SK mods have rock and alternative music in them. which is cool.
||Gallardo||
I've already tried that. The file was the same format, same name, everything was the same. But when I opened up Ghost Recon it was either the same old music or the game just crashed.
ingeloop
it's very simple m8, just as WD has described really. make sure you name it exactly as the old file for ex. GR_Main_Theme.wav or kitmusic.wav i may be wrong but you should be ok with this, correct me if im wrong anyone. it's important that you convert the file into .wav (PC) or .aif (Mac) /ingeloop
||Gallardo||
It was the exact same spelling, it was a .wav file, and I tried it both in Origmiss and A seperate mod I'm working on. It goes in GhostRecon/Mods/(modname)/Sounds/Music right?
thales100
you will need a wave editor to add your new theme to the game. Copy the original GR_Main_Theme from GR .../sound/music folder, be sure to uncheck the "read only" box, then open one it in the wave editor, go "select all", then "cut", then open your new theme wave file, go "select all", then "copy", then close it, and paste it in the original file, then go "save", add to your mod. nic

WytchDokta
It's also worth noting that GR_Main_Theme.wav is not the only music file that plays at the main menu - it's one of two (or three?) music files that will be randomly played at the GR main menu. thales100
will you release the mod ?
||Gallardo||
will you release the mod ? Of course I will. Kinda pointless in keeping it all to myself, I know what to do and what's going to happen Do you, by any chance, know why I get 'Path/File Access Error' whenever I use Mike Schell's skinner? thales100
are you using version 1.1 ? http://rapidshare.com/files/50627213/skinner1_1.zip.html

As far as I can tell, there's absolutely no reason for it not to be working

||Gallardo||
you get this message when trying to open the file or save it ? When I try and save the CHR's to the RSB, it comes up with 'Overwrite existing file?' I click yes, and then another box comes up saying '75 Path/File Access Error'

When I try and save the CHR's to the RSB, it comes up with 'Overwrite existing file?' ingeloop
you do not save chr's to rsb with the skinner. i use it to replace certain rsb files and then save to the SAME chr name or another chr name of my choice. from what i know, the skinner helps you with rsb within the chr file without using a hexeditor. but i can't see what this has to do with main menu music /ingeloop
thales100
are you sure the "read only" box of the .chr file is unchecked ? nic
||Gallardo||
are you sure the "read only" box of the .chr file is unchecked ? nic Damn I'm an idiot. I can't believe I never thought of that (This was before I knew about turning off read only, but still...) lol, I know it's RSB's to CHR's. I got mixed up. Edit: Yup. It worked. Thank you again Niccola Edited August 23, 2007 by ||Gallardo||
