digger69 0
Having just passed the CompTIAs A+ and Network+ exams and getting my certification I am looking at getting myself a basic computer technician's tool kit. Below is a list of what I think I will need, if you think there may be something I have missed let me know. Flux inverter (preferably purple) Self-calibrating hyper piston extractor Incremented xenon aligning tool Full width photon shield with replaceable receiver Endonic reciplicator Phase 4 givatossometer in a 40-watt range (I believe Min may have a used one she no longer wants) Tungsten based bias drive with a 4ns reset Carbon coded universal reinitializing unit Dual programmable QEMM module Boot sector reprogramming chisel Infra red logic router Self-booting non-interrupting D.O.L.L (with optional cleaning kit) Internal multispeed plasma ream (for D.O.L.L) Asynchronous XPD controller manifold Integrated anti-torque master burst deflector Assigned device pooling capacitor High efficiency reactive execution spanner Ultra-high performance diagnostic module with pro version optimization Real time confirmation loop containment vessel Compressed corruption defragmenting adaptor Performance adjusting pneumatic acceleration hammer Uninvoked interrupt sender/receiver hose with brass fittings Dynamic configuration micrometer Extended sector inserter with slot rectifier Philips head screwdriver Flat head screwdriver And a pair of pliers (yellow handled) I was going to get a Tribble or two, but I have heard they fill up to quick... Let me know what else I need

I only understood the last 3 items, but I did notice he was missing those twisty things that keep the wires together )

cobaka 0
Hey Digger! Welcome to GR.net - your new home away from home . Looks like you're back to being a newbie I think you can get most of that stuff at Ace hardware (sorry, I guess you lot don't have them down your way). But I think you have to special order those last items.

NightCrawler 137
Make sure that any soldering iron you use is the best on the market!! I would suggest MBT 250, but it's rather large for doing any work outside of your office.
Avey 0
Self-booting non-interrupting D.O.L.L (with optional cleaning kit) how does one live without that
RooK 0
I think you can live with the last 3 for 90% of the time

I'm callin you out. Giveatossometer? You made that up!
digger69 0
Thanks for your input guys, I am sure I have left a few things out. CABLE TIES... How could I have missed that Just to point out a few things about the Flux capacitor. This is old technology, about the mid 80`s and these thing were extremely unstable having real problems with cooling the magnetic inference coupling. I highly suggest if you come across one that avoided the recall, give it a miss! The flux inverter will give you years of bi-polar signal correction without a hitch, very good unit allthough I would only buy the Japanese product. (The Korean is plastic!) Thanx for the welcome Cobaka, the .com`s getting a bit slow And to who ever moved this thread, I did carefully consider where to place this post and after reading "The purpose of this forum"(G-OT) I felt this post really was along the lines of "pointless" rather than the other catogories, my apologies Rocky,Jan 15 2003, 12:40 ]Rocky wrote: "Test posts can be made here too. Dark Ranger 0
Electrical Tape Canned Air RJ-11/45 Terminators Triple Claw IC Extractor These are some of the ones I use ^. A few others to add to the list: Frequency Modulator Direct-Ion Replicator Module Phase-Inversion Polimeter Sub-Ion Reciprocle/Coefficient IO Warp Core primer w/optional .8oz of chloromethane

Dark Ranger 0
This is totally up to you digger, but you might consider: - Left-handed phillips screwdriver - Black Lighting Gels for 'puter rooms that want it dark. By placing a black gel in the lighting fixture, you get a dark room...volia! Disclamer: The above is intended for entertainment purposes only! I declare that I do not use black gels, nor do I condon the use of them! Actually, they do make dark, dark purple lighting gels for Parcans, Elipsodiles, and other fixtures that will allow only about 4% of light through the gel, so it appears very dark, or black. Needless to say, the gels don't last very long since they absorb all that heat! Edited May 3, 2003 by Dark Ranger
Schenkanator 0
I'd suggest; Multimeter & Side - cutters
WhiteKnight77 1
I'd suggest; Multimeter & Side - cutters Make that a DVOM with a 10megaohm input impedence. Don't want to fry something using the wrong kind of meter.
