Hammer
In case you missed it in the other topic, QUOTE(REN_KYA @ Aug 10 2007, 12:00 PM) is there any fixes for the creative xfi cards from the cracking sounds and noises and sound loops and crashes from that when using extrem settings? Answered by ROCO *AFZ* That isn't a GRAW 1 or 2 issue. #1 make sure you have the latest drivers as they need the newest openal support #2 in your bios shut off memory excelleration.' #3 if it's an earlier nforce (i think 590) there is no fix although i heard a bios upgrade fixes. X-fi's are fine in GRAW with Vista and XP. Edited August 10, 2007 by Hammer

Jodiuh
Sound Issues? - Main thread for this problem (workaround is to set to general software/medium) http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php...165&t=44140 I picked up an Elite Pro and there's no difference from the Fatal1ty. Gonna try XP and then a different Mobo, but it's ONLY GRAW 2 that has issues for me. FEAR and BF2142 are crackle free. Also, that page is over a year old. Latest drivers are on SB's site. ROCO*AFZ*
One more thing. Google openal 1.1 Download and install it. Reboot and test. Vista uses openal instead of eax Jodith... read my post... i said not to use the drivers there but use the ones from creative.
Jodiuh
Yeah, I saw. But he mentioned trying beta drivers, which were mentioned on the blog. As for openal: * OpenAL32.dll version 6.14.357.22 * wrap_oal.dll version 2.1.8.1 Got em both in GRAW2 and System32. Regardless, sound ain't the only problem. I'll randomly crash out of SP w/ all sorts of errors. I'm thinking XP's where I need to be... Edited August 12, 2007 by Jodiuh
