calius 0
HERE Homeowner arrested after burglar falls out of a fourth floor window Ummmm, don't break in. I love the contradictory (last 4 paragraphs of quotes that simply are mind bogglingly confusing to read together as one scenario) police comments on how to deal with this, as if any police officer who gets broken into knows exactly how they would react under those circumstances. After all on his/her officers day off without the badge and the suit they are also "the public". Meanwhile in la-la land people get tazered half to death by police simply by there own judgement . I understand life threatening injuries means paper work time and getting to the bottom of it, but I just laugh at how the police official stance is "bla bla spokes person ... etc etc, in the end mate I don't really know either, because clearly you can see what im supposed to say doesn't add up does it". Guest
LoL, this one is funny. Although I understand somewhat to a degree what the police are saying that defending oneself should be priority, and using force to punish an intruder leads to a crime, I also think that anyone breaking the law by entering a residence should know going in that possible death awaits. No doubt this story will inspire some sue-happy criminal to break into somewhere, then just run away and "trip" just so they can get some money "legally." Welcome to the new world.... NoQuarter 0
Perhaps the home-owner should have offered the poor soul a nice glass of wine...maybe some Brie? That's how we do things over here in La-La Land.
ROCO*AFZ* 0
He should have drug him back inside and smashed a chair or something. In the US, if they don't make it outside, they can't sue.
WytchDokta 6
Right, that's it! The next time I'm playing Unreal Tournement, and my mad skillz lead to 'accidently' fall off a (fourth floor) ledge into the abyss below and get killed by such action, I'll sue Epic games. Fair's fair. Better yet, I'll go crash my car into a hedge on purpose and then sue the council for planting the hedge there. Yeah, say I'm acting OTT at this - it is the kinda stupid ###### people do these days just to make money. That's what it's about - money. Money is life. Money is death. Money is power. calius 0
Another little but effective divide and rule tactic Anyway im off out to "hug a hoodie" becuase I feel that touching base with my future home invader may in some way take the pressure off later on when I have to decide best how to not offend them in anyway as they enter through my window. This process may work, a tip off will help on what biscuits to pre-puchase and whether they prefer coffee or tea while working.
Guest
lol calius, you may also want to ask them which window they prefer to enter your house. Some of the older hoodies or poorer hoodies may not be able to get a ladder to climb. Or maybe give them your phone number so they can call before they come over. Welcome to the new world.... hell, in my state (MD) we can shoot an intruder in our house. if you shoto shoot him outside the house, drag him inside added: i find it funny that western societies are giving criminals rights even having committed crimes. get a scumbag lawyer and win for breaking and entering or robbery here. some criminals win thousands maybe millions for getting hurt while committing a crime. the laws and the justice system are flatout absurd. hey you get hurt committing a crime? tough ######! don't break the law, i hope the owner is set free.
