New GRAW2 Classes

Hi there,

Fresh install of GRAW2, and patched to 1.05. Installed the mod, and when I try to start a new campaign I get a CTD, with the following:

Crash in application version: 30899.3048

data\lib\managers\groupmanager.dsf(-1): No soldier template named "ALLEN"

SCRIPT STACK:

data\lib\managers\groupmanager.dsf(0)

data\lib\managers\groupmanager.dsf(0)

data\lib\script_network\gametype\gametypecampaign.dsf(78)

data\lib\script_network\networkmanager.dsf(0)

data\lib\setups\setup.dsf(0)

Renderer: threaded

Physics : threaded

Any thoughts??

BTW, thanks for the hard work you have put into this mod Wolfsong, much appreciated! If only I could get it to work... :thumbsup:

Wolfsong, what file do I need to edit to decrease the EXTENDED DRAW distance? The game has become unplayable as far as framerates go.

What setting in the file will I be looking for to decrease EXTENDED DRAW distance?

Having a curiosity moment again. :rolleyes:

Have I missed anything here:

data\objects\beings\ghost_team

materials.xml

<clip_plane value="0 0 -1 15000"/> <!-- NOTE. Raise this to increase the draw distance, however beware that props are removed at 150 m -->

Change to <clip_plane value="0 0 -1 30000"/> Apply above changes to all other relevant unit material xml`s.

Props

data\units

mass.xml

Change spawn in and spawn out as follows:

<spawn in="30000" out="31000" method="enable"/>

Looks correct in game, though I cannot see where to apply changes to vehicles?

Added: sb_global det settings need tweaking.

*New Edit*

Weapons XML`s have a "max range". Would need to alter these also.

Vista or XP?

You have compiled files somewhere from before the mod was activated.

Make sure you have no custom files besides those that belong to this mod in the local folder you are using at startup. Also check you windows user data folder for any GRAW2 XMB files, and remove those. Don't remove any inside a "settings" folder as it will remove your progress in game.

Vista has the XMB files in "user directory"/AppData/Local/GRAW2 (at least I have).

Unable to start a normal campaign SP with this 1.53 version, same ALLEN crash as above. Have no XMB files anywhere. Running XP.

Plays fine so far ogr_cooperative, but only had a quick try.

The downloaed misc mod: GRAW 2 Extended does not work for me.

When I go to MP and click on create server it crashes:

Crash in application version: 30621.2989

data\lib\managers\menumanager.dsf(2729): cant find member: hide in type <void>

Renderer: threaded

Physics : threaded

With 1.05 of GRAW2

I re-installed GRAW2 and updated to 1.04 but the same

I updated PhysX_9.09.0203_SystemSoftware.exe with PhysX_9.09.0408_SystemSoftware.exe but the same

I added that line into the context-standalone.xml:

<mod_bundle name="graw2_ext_153_beta"/>

...but the same.

If I start with the normal graw2.exe the game is running.

Just some times a crash with the campaign_bogie_ver1_5_all.bundle and the server PC need to restart GRAW2 because it could not find from the crashed client anymore (think the server part crashed and kicked the client out).

Any idea or quickfix available?
