Burawura 0
OK I searched but did not find so here is a new topic. I just recently set up a new PC for gaming and installed good old Ghost Recon on it. The game runs great, except for one thing that's pretty bothersome. I'm using a 1280x1024 19" LCD monitor, and at that resolution the "death spam" red death messages in the top left of the screen are HUGE (like they would be in 640x480 res). The game doesn't seem to want to scale them down at 1280x1024 res. Is there some setting that controls this? Or any way to fix it to scale correctly?
Dannik 43
There's an option that may help. Options -> Gameplay tab -> top right checkbox "Scale HUD" Toggle that, and see if it solves the problem for you.
Burawura 0
The "scale HUD" and "scale command map" options don't affect the red death text. They work fine otherwise.

I've always wondered why the HUD was so huge at higher resolutions, and wished it was smaller! Now I know how, thanks Dannik, my display looks 10 times better now I can't believe I never noticed that option before.
Burawura 0
Please note also that on other resolutions, the death text scales just fine...it looks like it should at 1024x768. But since I use an LCD screen with a "native resolution" of 1280x1024, the game looks terrible at other resolutions, so I'd like to figure this out so I can play without having gigantic red text on the left half of my screen whenever someone is killed. There was one line in the options.xml file that I thought might have something to do with it, right before the toggleframerate setting I think...I dont remember what it's called but I tried changing that to every value between 0 and 10 and that didn't do anything.
