Cangaroo.TNT Posted July 24, 2007 Share Posted July 24, 2007 I, too have an X-Fi, and the sound is really, really bad with it. It was fine on my old computer. I just started having problems with my new setup. If I let the game recognize my X-Fi at all, it causes the game to freeze, regardless of the quality level I choose. Also, there are a lot of missing sounds, especially with narcoms, and a lot of crackling and hissing. Once I set it to generic hardware, it seems that all my issues disappeared. bangurdead Posted July 24, 2007 Share Posted July 24, 2007 What about my built in Mobo's sound which supports High Definition surround sound but all I get is Medium or low options and Generic Hardware...
