If you mean just SLI, then I'm sure there are plenty out there doing just that. If you mean SLI RAM (OCZ SLI RAM for example) I'm sure there's someone doing that as well, however SLI RAM is RAM that nVidia tested with SLI setups and approved. It's nothing more than a gimmick. At least that's how it has been explained to me.

As far as I can tell, it's now limited to in-game sounds. I don't know/think that it's a Grin issue. It might be a Creative issue. I had a lot of sound card related problems with my new mobo, and I was able to eliminate them all except for GRAW 2.

Right now I can play with my hardware set to "generic" and my quality set to "high" and I no longer have freezes, whistling, chirping, etc, so I'm satisfied for now.

I'm running "SLI Ready" RAM from OCZ as well (PC2-8500) and it works great. It's not a gimmick that means that NVidia tested these sticks in their board and then simply put an SLI-Ready sticker on it. It means that this RAM supports the new EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) feature. This feature simply allows you to overclock the memory without having to bother with all the clock rates, timings, voltages, etc... For exemple, when EPP is activated on your board (and you're using EPP RAM of course), you can simply choose something like "OC 10%" in your BIOS and all clock rates, timings, etc... will be adjusted automatically. You can still disable the feature and tweak those parameters manually if you want.

For me, I activated the EPP but with no OC, basically I set it to "OC 0%"... so everything got configured automatically (5-5-5-15 timings, 1066MHz, etc..) at the standard PC2-8500 rate.

Like others said, I don't think your problems are related to your RAM, SLI-Ready or not.

^ Yes, it is great RAM, isn't it? I have mine set to OCMAX (which as you know does not mean they are OC'd to the MAX but rather the OCing is variable).

I didn't think it was the RAM, but when troubleshooting a hardware issue you have to eliminate EVERY possibility, not matter how tedious.

Like I said, I think it's a Creative issue.
