Sleepdoc-iBeta
Please explain this TS integration thing to us that do not have the game yet. (US GUYS) So the user still has to download the TS client and remember to launch it prior to starting the game? If so, is there something built into the game that gives acecss to teamspeak in a way that is better than the way we all do it already? Why do we need (or want) to pay for anything Teamspeak when we all use it for free every single day on existing servers? I'm lost on this TS issue. What is the exact nature of it's integration into GRAW2 PC that makes it worth paying money for? please elaborate someone. FI_FlimFlam
I think it's essentially a PR thing to say, they support the "use" of TS. Maybe they include the client on the disk which someone with the game will have to confirm or deny as I don't have the game yet. I'm a bit surprised and will be disappointed by this move if it's limited to what we already have and this only turn out to be a PR stunt. ARDelta
I don't really understand it either. If the game included a TS server that ran with the MP server so that when you joined a game server you could automatically connect to the associated TS server, that would make sense. I guess we'll find out.

If every server running had some sort of integration, then it might make some sense. especailly, if the server pays for the use (meaning the supporting clan) and not the clients ofcourse.... Zoot
I was pretty sure I read that graw 2 would have ingame VOIP via teamspeak or something like that. I would really like to have some voice comm capabilities! Is this feature in the game and only I don't know about it?? Or did they just mean I could use TS in the background while I run graw? (Not much of a feature in that case, lol. TS runs in the background with any game ever made) ideas? Rocky
I'm actually a bit confused on that score too. As you say TS2 was advertised as a feature of GRAW2, I don't get that as anyone can run TS2 for free independantly of GRAW 2, so what exactly is the deal? {B:P:R}Joker
i personally couldnt see how they were going to do it. ts2 and the game would need to work out which team you were in and then put in the correct channel and then if you changed sides then swap you to a different room again. we have been running ts2 for a few years now as part of all our gr games. same old thing more hassles for admins to try and kick people that are being arses, i like it the way it is we decide who we want on our ts channel plain and simple. Freshmixture
I just read the manual, and there isn't even a mention of TeamSpeak..... Except the need of a headset on the system requirements page. I figured that in the server lobby, TS IP's would be set up so all you had to do is click a button. Or worse case lower GRAW2 and fire up you TS and enter the info...... If this isn't the case, put it into a patch, I'm cool with that... Cheers! Fresh
Beaver
To clear things up for everyone. There is no integration of TS with GR:AW2, period. This is just a cross-marketing excercise with a Voice Comms rental company, so you the player get some free TS2 time to talk with your friends while in-game (if you dont already have your own clan voice comms server). What they (the voice comms company) is hoping for, is that after the initial free period, you'll then pony up some $$ to rent a voice server from them. Okay, so which TS server company are we talking about? I don't think they'll be getting much business from the deal, their contact info is so well hidden

InsolenceAndHeresy
If they were going to go so far as to make it so that they could bundle TS with the game, they should really have implemented something somewhat like TS-Overlay, except better, that lets you change channels, see who's talking, and adjust settings from in game.
