SideShowBob
I have noticed that for some reason when i give move order (assault or reacon) some of my teammates don't go all the way, they just stop in the middle of the move order. So basically i have to clear (assault, reacon) order and give another one.
mwgfghost
Is there still an option to set way points in GRAW2 ?? I cant seem to see them in the tacmap. Yes you can set waypoints, but only in the overview map. Yeah too bad it takes too long cause you can't zoom in while setting the waypoints. Why does everybody say this? Q AND E. Q and E. It even says this on the tacmap, lower right corner by overview and objectives. Next to the zoom in scroll bar that runs along the right side of the screen. Q and E. Why does nobody take the time to read my full post? You can't zoom in and out of the overview screen. I SEE THE ZOOM BUTTONS NEXT TO THE BAR. BUT YOU CAN'T ZOOM IN AND OUT IN "OVERVIEW" YOU CAN ONLY ZOOM IN AND OUT ON THE "TACMAP!" THANK YOU GRACIAS AND SHUKRAN
ARDelta
If you start the mission, it will erase any of your previous saves, so you must load the saved game before starting the mission. 1. First save the game by pressing "k". You'll get a confirmation message like this. 2. After exiting the game/mission load a saved game from the Campaign main menu by clicking "Load savegame" (Hey Grin - small grammatical error - it should read "Load saved game") in the lower left corner. 3. Choose the game to load from the list, then click "Load savegame" (Same grammatical error) on the right.

I had a look yesterday and I'm guessing its so you can see the whole map at once, because you can't see everything at once in tac map view. Multicentrum
Thanks a lot for posting the procedure. I will try again to see if it was a my mistake or not, anyway I red the manual but I should have missed this dangerous warning ! Thanks,I'll let you know
mwgfghost
Well it's not that that set me off. What got me is nobody's taking the time to read all of my post and they assume I'm talking about not being able to zoom in and out in the Tactical Map. I know I can zoom in and out of there because I have. I think the only reason they didn't include setting waypoints in the Tac map is cause it used to be at the bottom but now there's all the order options for assault and recon and go assault or go recon. But I do like that very much. I just wish there was a way to click "Set Waypoint" in the Overview screen and then go back to the Tac Map and set them there. Oh well. I got the corrections down pretty good. I usually use landmarks to remember where the enemy I want to mark is.
Nailbomb72
I really enjoyed the SP demo - Feels so much more "Ghost Recon" than GR:AW the first. I cannot wait to get the full version now. It's great to see the ROE, something I really missed when playing the first GR:AW. Pretty much everyone else has mentioned things that I noticed except for the intro movie! It fits the xbox 360 version but if the PC demo is a taste of what's to come then we need a less Hollywood intro... And I reckon if that's the only thing I can bring up then the game will be worth the $$ Thanks GRIN
philkilla
The scope on the RX-4 is so much better in the SP demo. I hope it's like that in the MP of the final release...
mwgfghost
Yeah Nail that's something I forgot to mention as well. I think the first GRAW intro was good for us. But this one has the medic which is only for 360. That's the one thing that made my friend a little cheesed off.
LFO
i'm especially impressed in how many ways you can play this little map. so many walkways, sniping positions and different approaches coming from that. really great work, grin! the enemy AI *sometimes* is really cool, trying to chase you down, but mostly a little too pasive for my liking. the recon-mode for your team ist awesome, it's good for some really cool moves. can't wait to play the full release, and i'm looking really forward to play this game in coop. Brainman2k
dunno if its been said already or if its a prob with my rig/setup: i have the problem, that when i try to change the difficulty from normal to easy/hard the game locks up. had to change it in the .xml to get it to work. anyone ran into the same difficulties? other than that im very pleased with the sp-part of graw2. the gfx are amazing w/o having worse fps than with graw. concerning gameplay i really like the roe-switch and the "move to"-circles when ordering the team (much like in full spectrum warrior) and the open spaces and various routes you can take to achieve the goal. imo the enemy ai is much more dull/dumb on "easy" as in graw. i assume the difficulty-level was toned down in graw2 to please a wider audience?! missed the zooming in the map via the scrollwheel...after a few minutes i realized, that its "q" and "e" in graw2. i guess there are tons of really good features in graw2 that i dont recall right now. anyways: graw2 is so much more better than its predecessor! i love it. its definately a must have (for me at least)! MadMike
Dear GRIN. Overall I like the SP demo of GRAW2 a lot. It is very promising of the full game and MUCH more GR1 than GRAW (which I also liked, btw). For me, this is a very good thing I have a few suggestions/findings that I would like to state: Request: Make insertions a combination of cinematic (the first part) and FPS (the exit from the heli + fast roping) Request: Make extrations a combination of FPS (entering the heli) and cinematic Request: Bring back double-click to add/subtract weapon options Request: Make mouse scroll work in pre-mission briefings and in Options/Controls Request: Make friendly AI cheerleading/nagging (Capt'n!, Cap'tn!, Capt'n!, Capt'n!) optional Request: Make blue friendly diamonds optional just like the red enemy diamonds Request: Make a way to stop the pre-mission briefing video/narration (it can be annoying to listen to many times) Request: Options/Video/Advanced/Postprocessing Effects only has low/high. A medium setting could be nice Request: Voices/Narration is a bit annoying at times. Could we have separate volume settings for Music/Sound/Voices please Request: Bring back weapon stats to compare different loadouts quickly Bug?: I am not able to equip my friendly AI with backpack items (grenades) Bug?: "Cover That" seems to trigger friendly AI to start shooting wildly in that direction for no reason Bug?: I didn't seem to be able to pick up ammo as in GRAW1 Bug: Gun sounds (my weapon) seems to go silent/off sometimes (SB Audigy 4) Bug: The guy saying "You found the first Artillery" sometimes loop until both artillery are blown up Respectfully, MadMike

mwgfghost
Yeah MadMike. That guy saying "You found the first artillery piece blow it up" is so annoying when he's constantly saying it. I was so close to just aborting because of that. And it's true that you can play that map in so many different ways. I can't get over how sweet it is to be controlling my guys through their cross coms. I'm so glad the attack order actually works. I actually take Brown out of the group cause he just hasn't been putting out for me. At first Hume wasn't either but last night he was a clutch player and I got Man of Steel and Leader cause of him. The guys that usually give me problems coming down from the artillery pieces Hume just made such short work of them with his M14. Can't wait to see him in action with the Barrett. Beasley and Ramirez never have any problems. I have Ramirez cover the side where the two guys in the back of the road block are on recon of course. Then I have Hume and Beasley cover possible ways the five guys could go just to protect themselves. And I just make the main assault usually takin em out in less than 30 seconds. I really hope someone does mod it so you can have the FP insertions by pressing X. I'm still gonna buy it though cause I've been waiting too long for this game. Marines
This is what GRAW should have been. It's certainly makes playing the game far more fun than that of a chore, as was the case with the first installment of the AW franchise. I am thoroughly enjoying the SP demo. However, I do have a few qualms... One being the fully scripted events, and the other being the graphics options. Because I have a 256 meg card, I was unable to change the texture settings in game. But, I did alter the render settings in the directory via the notepad from medium to high with no discernable FPS lag what so ever.
Buehgler_AS
Well I finally had a chance to gave the demo a try. I'm happy to see the ROE stuff fixed, although I found it very cumbersome to use the interface to control my AI team. Did I miss some new key that I can bind to recon/assault w/o having to pop up the command map and mouse all over the place? The AI ghosts seem a bit brighter than in GRAW, and the tango AI are a bit smarter about flanking when they attack. Unfortunately I still saw a LOT of the same problems as GRAW had... Tangos spawning when the player gets someplace he just scouted to be clear with the drone... Tangos not reacting unless they think they are threatened -- I saw no sign of any tango plans being triggered by any events/actions taken by the player.... And finally... It was all just as linear as before... Why exactly do I have to hunt down the last tango in the camp before I am allowed to place a demo charge on the piece of artillery I found The graphics and overall performance are great, but I'm really not seeing much opportunity for building missions that have any significant replayability. RavenousNC
I loved the SP demo, with a few exceptions. Most of what I had problems with have already been mentioned here, so I’ll not go into my list of druthers. Ultimately there is but only one thing I care about at this point – Will the game ship with or without a map editor, and if not, when will we finally get one? I primarily create maps for [GR], so it is my hope the map editor will allow objectives and more ability to become a true coop, not just a “kill till you get to the Zulu†mode. I know that we can’t always have what we want, but we made ourselves perfectly clear from the GRAW1 experience what we wanted and needed in the map editing community. We don’t only make maps for ourselves, but for the whole lot of GRAW players out there, so we wanna give our all in making maps. This will give GRAW2 even more playability. With the graphics being what they are in GRAW2, I can’t wait to start making [GR] maps. Rav
RavenousNC
I just took a glance at the PDF manual provided in the SP demo and after reading about the [GR] CO-OP mode I’m a bit disturbed. Originally when Campaign CO-OP was introduced in GRAW1 only four players were allowed. Later [GR] was introduced that allowed us to add more players. Though not a true campaign mode, we didn’t complain about it because we could still fight through the map with more than four friends. According to the manual the [GR] COOP that is coming with GRAW2 will again only allow 4 companions at a time. There was no mention that there is going to be an [GR] version of the game that most of us have come accustom to. If this type of playis going to be how [GR] is defined, only play four people at a time, then count me out of GRAW2 altogether. Maybe I’m missing something and am crying about nothing. I would truly welcome anyone to show me differently, because I was all stoked for GRAW2, but now I’m not so sure anymore. Yes, [GR] as we know it in GRAW1 is all I care about. That is the kind of game me and my friends enjoy playing. Please don't flame me. I respect your type of game play, please respect mine. Now there is "Co-op" (12 player) & Mission Campaign mode (4 Player). Coop is 12 player mode with objectives & way points. Mission campaign mode is 4 players or x players + x AI, playing the Mission maps supplied. This is FACT not me dreaming Ultimately there is but only one thing I care about at this point – Will the game ship with or without a map editor, and if not, when will we finally get one? Rav You should also be asking, will there be tutorials for the editor on release (editor may have changed) and tutorials on how to? this is the key, an editor with no tutorial is a bag of phoo

I found this in an IGN interview. IGN: Do you have plans to support the modding community? Nouredine Abboud: There will be a map editor. The idea is to give the community access to the same tools as the development team, and give them the same amount of control. Also, I think I've read somewhere that the editor will be available on release. EDIT: May be available in a later patch due to bugs Edited July 10, 2007 by Hockeystick
