Rocky 1,224
Does anyone else ever get that message? "Windows has Recovered from Serious Error" I get it alot of the time after installing a new app, and a restart is required - when the PC restarts - I get that error. For example, I installed the Freelancer demo last night, it said to reboot so I did, then two wierd things happened. On reboot I got that message, then when I started Freelancer it said "do no recognsie graphics card" What? It's a flipping Radeon 9500 Pro for petes sake. I am really starting to think a reformat (or new PC) is in order

snakebite1967 0
I have seen that message a few times installing apps under xp , it usualy happens right after an install when the pc asks you to reboot to finish instalation, doesnt happen very often and i havent had any problems related to it
Zantar45 0
I have Windows XP and a 1 year old PC, lately I have been getting the "Windows has Recovered from Serious Error" message. Funny thing is it pops up and I havent even installed anything! I put my pc on stand by or let the screen saver do its thing, and every now and then the message pops up. Damned if you do and Damned if you dont
Stinger 0
Yeah I've seen it and get it. It doesn't mean anything (99% of the time) so just click okay yeah whatever. You should turn off error reporting service though thats annoying.
magnumkp 0
When XP was firsted released this was a big problem, like everytime you turn it on it gives you that message. However, one of the first XP windows updates sorted out a lot of the problems. To really ignore them go to Control Panel/System/Advanced and then click Error Reporting. Like most things, if you ignore them, they go away.

snakebite1967 0
when i start getting issues like that i know its time to format
Stinger 0
No need to really format, its just a thing XP does since it thinks it can diagnose crap that it can't. Sometimes when I play Empire Earth it would crash and restart my system and 3DMARK 03 always did that and then when I would get back to desktop I would get a message like that. It means nothing, no files are damaged or anything it just thinks that something more serious then a restart happened. Anyways just turn off that service its a waste on resources and patience.
