Maj.Ken
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\ and delete the 0701 folder. That should do the trick. Nice, I'll try that. But how the hell did you find that out? edit my fault 9. InstallShield Error 6001 This is due to InstallShield not being able to replace an older copy of Installshield with the files provided in the GRAW Setup. The workaround for this is to delete the problem folder these files are in and allow the GRAW installer to replace the necessary files. Delete the folder "0701" in the following directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Installshield\Professional\Runtime\ Edited May 10, 2006 by Maj.Ken
yttocs1966
Friends having a problem. Error on install, now won't uninstall. Did these 2 steps already: InstallShield Error 6001 This is due to InstallShield not being able to replace an older copy of Installshield with the files provided in the GRAW Setup. The workaround for this is to delete the problem folder these files are in and allow the GRAW installer to replace the necessary files. Delete the folder "0701" in the following directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Installshield\Professional\Runtime\ AND Manual Uninstall Question The installation crashed part way through and windows now thinks the game is installed. How can i remove the game from the system and do a fresh install. Answer Open My Computer then open the Local Disk (C:) Open the program files folder. Click on the tools menu then choose folder options Click on the view tab and tick the box labelled "show hidden files and folders". Press OK Open the installshield installation information folder Search for a folder named {EFC97089-04D6-42CE-A707-A343B4A7D2CD} Right click on the folder and choose rename. Press the End key on the keyboard and type the word OLD. Press the enter key Reinstall the game using the original install disk. This will replace and overwrite any missing components that were preventing the game from being uninstalled normally Here is what his report says: C:\PROGRA~1\INSTAL~1\PROFES~1\RUNTIME\0701\INTEL32\Ctor.dll Any idea how to fix? Can't install new. Can't uninstall old. Can't play. I'll be back and forth every few minutes. Thank you
yttocs1966
Got it reinstall by browsing the CD to setup.exe. After install it gives the 6001 error. Removed the 0701 folder like the forum says and it still won't run. Anyone?
yttocs1966
Got the game to install, but still wouldn't work. Uninstalled from the disk. tried to install again, but still kept getting the "6001" error. Ended up installing on the 2nd HD and it worked fine. No "6001", nothing, worked fine added patches. Ended up playing for an hour only after we got it to run, spent 4 hours trying to get it to work. Still would like to know why it wouldn't run on one HD, yet works on the other?

KRP 56
Does anyone have any information as to how i clean my P.C. of all instances of GR:AW so i can re-install it? Once you've gotten rid of all GRAW related files in your program file folder have a go at cleaning the registry out. I usually use the search option in the registry to help me out but only searching through one time seems to miss some entries so you may have to do it a few times to find the entries. GRAW could be in various folders under different names such as GRAW-UBI-AgieaPhysX etc. Good luck and be careful with the registry as deleting the wrong thing could be a major headache. Back it up if your not used to deleting stuff from your registry.

Fletch
Go to www.majorgeeks.com and get crap cleaner and any other free registry cleaner. Run Crap Cleaner and it will (or should) find all the old loose ends in the registry and delete them. After that try loading.
