True, I'm a complete muppet but still I could be emotionally scarred after this episode! BTW, if you can't make it to 3.0ghz, then I think you will have personally failed. I of course will cope. having come from an XP, anything in this range is good but you seemed somewhat perterbed that your first attempt at achieving 3.oghz ended in a black screen. Sunraa
CPU: AMD x2 4600+ RAM : 1024 Graphic card : Ati Radeon 1950Pro 256 PCI Settings in GRAW2 : 1024*768, all on low or medium. I'm getting like 10-20 FPS. It's really bad for me. But in GRAW i can play with 1280*1024 with all on max, except details and i'm getting 25-
=warcloud=
You have to remember it's a demo, so maybe by the time the full game is out it might run better?. But ..to the dudes with 30 to 50 fps range i reckon that is good going, i'm on win xp crt 1024x768@85hz i use nvidia's 8800ultra 650mhz/2220mhz + intel e6600 ran it 2400mhz tried oc to 27000mhz and tried 2997mhz + 2 gbyte ram + SB X-Fi etc blah blah blah! and i get 50 to 56 fps in the servers. I should imagine though single player will drag your system down a tad Forgot to say i have the graw2 demo graphics settings as high as it allows and also this is in full servers full combat, so iguess the framerate is expected to dip a tad low. It was mentioned in the 2nd dev diary video graw2 will take advantage of quad core cpu. I'm waiting on the Intel 45nm family processors, the penryn and nehalem quad core but i doubt i can afford any of the two? will have to wait and see waht prices are at retail. tecmic
Yeah, nice thought Roco. You quote US prices, here I'm looking at £750 ($1500) to upgrade quad cpu, 2Gb ram, m/b, 8800 etc. Won't be just yet
