Athlon XP3000

1 gig PC2700

BFG 7600GS 512mb

XP Pro SP2

19" WS running at 1440 x 900

All settings are on low and I get between 12 - 16 on average when there's heavy action, 15 - 20 when it calms down a bit. Basically unplayable but I am making a major rig upgrade in the next month so I'm not to fussed about this at the moment.

Finally made my upgrade:

E6320 1.86mhz 4mb L2 OC'd to 2.8

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

Asus P5B mobo

2gb Geil PC6400

BFG 8800GTS OC 320mb

Samsung 250gb SATA

Hiper Type R 580w - from previous rig

Antec 900 gaming case

Loaded up the demo & left settings as they had been auto detected, just adjusted resolution to suit monitor:

1440 x 900 16:9 75hz

Physics - Normal

Effects - medium

Textures, shadows, post effects all high

Playing RvA on Calevera I'm getting fps between 75 - 85, usually averaging around 82 - 83, peaking in the low 100's when the firefights aren't too heavy.

Never new GRAW could be this much fun!!! :D

Intel Quad Core 6600

2GB KINGSTON 800 RAM

Asus P5N32E-SLI 680I Chipset mainboard

Xtreme Music XFI

Razer Mouse

G15 Keyboard

Seagate enterprize 250GB SATAII Hard drive

Windows Vista 32bit Business (YES GRAW2 Works FLAWLESSLY WITH NEWEST DRIVERS )

19" VP930 Viewsonic LCD (NOT WIDESCREEN)

Resolution 1280x 960 (1280x1024 will not show up for me in GRAW2 GRR)

Everything High on heavy server (24+ players)

90-120 FPS, averaging around 100. No tweaking, No overclocking. CPU sits at around 45 degrees Celcius with stock fan. 34 when not playing GRAW2.

Smooth as butter. GRAW2 sees all 4 cores and utilizes them. Well worth the 1300 Upgrade for processor, memory, video card and mainboard.

You're not going to let me forget that I couldn't put the 'kin card in right, are you...... 'kin good job I'm not easily put off!.

True, I'm a complete muppet but still I could be emotionally scarred after this episode!

BTW, if you can't make it to 3.0ghz, then I think you will have personally failed.

I of course will cope. having come from an XP, anything in this range is good but you seemed somewhat perterbed that your first attempt at achieving 3.oghz ended in a black screen. You may, of course, be suffering from processor envy??????

Maybe you should seek counciling, alternatively you could just come and get wankered next weekend and we can forget th 0.2ghz :zorro:

CPU: AMD x2 4600+

RAM : 1024

Graphic card : Ati Radeon 1950Pro 256 PCI

Settings in GRAW2 : 1024*768, all on low or medium.

I'm getting like 10-20 FPS. It's really bad for me.

But in GRAW i can play with 1280*1024 with all on max, except details and i'm getting 25-50

You have to remember it's a demo, so maybe by the time the full game is out it might run better?. But ..to the dudes with 30 to 50 fps range i reckon that is good going, i'm on win xp crt 1024x768@85hz i use nvidia's 8800ultra 650mhz/2220mhz + intel e6600 ran it 2400mhz tried oc to 27000mhz and tried 2997mhz + 2 gbyte ram + SB X-Fi etc blah blah blah! and i get 50 to 56 fps in the servers. I should imagine though single player will drag your system down a tad

Forgot to say i have the graw2 demo graphics settings as high as it allows and also this is in full servers full combat, so iguess the framerate is expected to dip a tad low.

Probably hungrier yeah i would say so, maybe to get extreme performance from graw2 the cpu has got to be quad core and a top end graphics card if you want to play in high resolution and have high frames per second. It was mentioned in the 2nd dev diary video graw2 will take advantage of quad core cpu. I'm waiting on the Intel 45nm family processors, the penryn and nehalem quad core but i doubt i can afford any of the two? will have to wait and see waht prices are at retail.

End of July intel will have a price reduction. Quad core 6600 (what i have) will be around 266.00 USDA
