Dark Ranger 0
"GHz" isn't everything, as you have discovered. Your processors are fine for this game, but I'd highly recommend aquiring a decent video card for your PC(s) if you have an available PCI or AGP slot. AGP Slot = brown slot above your white PCI slots, and below your processor. PCI = white slots on the motherboard(usually 3-6 of them). If you have the AGP, get an AGP Graphics Card over a PCI card. It will allow more data to pass through the system bus in a shorter amount of time. Look at gettting at least a 64 MB card. 32MB is just not enough for this game(never mind 8MB!) ATI makes some great cards - Look into the 8500 or 8500LE or possibly the 9000. Both models are sold in 64 or 128MB versions. If you have money to spend, look at the 9000PRO or 9500/PRO. nVidia has a couple good ones too: GeForce3 Ti300 or 500 @ 64MB. They offer decent performance for the money. Stay away from the MX series, unless you don't have much money to spend on a GFX card. If you want to shell out a bit more, look into a GF4 Ti4200 in 64 or 128MB versions. If you choose not to upgrade your GFX card, be sure all graphic settings are at minimum in-game. This will free up some extra textures that can hopefully be placed in walls and such.... You can also bring up a command console in-game as well: Hit "Enter" on the 10-Key portion of your keyboard, and type toggleshowframerate, hit "Enter" again, then hit "Esc". This displays your frames per second for reference. Here is another command which should help in some instances: Type togglemovetrees. This stops the swaying of trees in the maps, and will increase your frame rate for smoother gameplay. Hope this helps ya.
