What peripherals do you guys use? I just got the logitech G7, and while until now I have been a firm believer that gaming peripherals are merely gimmicks, i must say this mouse is amazing. Granted i had a Del optical, this runs superbly, and gaming wise, i've done infinetly better. even when i dont try as hard, i think i get kills merely because of the tracking and scroll effectiveness of this mouse. I'm also getting a discounted barracuda keyboard from a friend(45 dollars) I wonder if it will make as much a difference.

Also, I just got the x-fi sound card, and am hoping it will help in terms of sound enrichment and immersion. let me know what you guys have and if you ahve any of these peripherals and how they are to you as well.

i almost bought the g7 but opted for the corded counter part instead, not for the price but i find i get faster input with a corded mouse. at the time i bought it i was hardcore into bf2 multiplayer and found i dominated the map with it. i dont know what it was about it mabey the added weight or possiblythe actual laser in it was more acurate than its crude optical brothers. idk

the buttons for increasing and decreasing sesitivity on the fly are endlessly hilarious in bf2. being able to cut the sensitivity in half while in sniper zoom mode is awesome. there is something odly sadistic in the way you are able to follow a sprinting enemy and head shot him mid sprint. to think other people had this mouse or something like it definatly put me at a disatvantage with my old mouse.

Back during my MechWarrior days I used a MS Sidewinder joystick for piloting. I still use it for flight sims and such, but not nearly as much as before. I also have a cheap gamepad I use for playing old NES and SNES ROMS (Super Mario World FTW!).

For now all I use is a cheap keyboard and my super sexy Razer Copperhead mouse. I didn't think much of it at first, but it is so much more accurate than any second rater I've used. I love it.

I have been using a Creative X-Fi sound card for over a year now, and I must say it's fantastic. You have to play with the settings for a bit to get the sound just right, but combined with a Medusa 5.1 headset it's fantastic.

Sidewinder force feedback steering wheel, still going strong after more than 5 years of racing and wrecking. :wall: Sidewinder joy stick that see's little use because I'm a very poor fly boy. Saitek eclipse keyboard. Best investment I ever made for playing games as I always play in a darked room and man was my original unlit keyboard ever tough on an old man. ;) A good gaming mouse might be next if I can scrape together a few extra coins.

Nostromo N50 and a Razer Copperhead.

Used to be a trackball man, never played with a mouse for nigh on 16 years but GRAW taught me how slow the trackballs are! Struggled with the Copperhead at first, but have to say it's sweet as anything:D

Like Colin, the N50 helps speed up this old duffer. I keep an eye out on ebay for a decent N52: for the extra buttons and for when the 50 gives up the ghost!

Logitech G15 with Sirreal mod for lcd so the keyboard's LCD shows me Who is talking on TS, Fraps, Timezones, network traffice, Processor core usage (all of them). The G15 is the must have for gamers.

Razer Diamondback chameleon Green - Best mouse i have ever experienced. Have been tempted to go to the copperhead version... but this mouse works so well i can't give it up. Razer is the premo in gaming mice

Razer Exactmat - Awesome mouse pad. One side has a speed surface an the other a Control. I use the control as with my diamondback i already set Graw to .11 sensativity. With it i can stop on a dime. It has really helped increase my kills... That, the quad and the 8800GTX

Plantronics Audio 350 headset - Although it's only a stero and not surround, combined with my x-fi, i can pick out elevations and he a slight shuffle, or clip reload on the other side of a crate even through the noice i make running.

hey guys, for those who use a laser mouse that you can change settings for what dpi do you use?

I usually go for about 1200 but i was hoping you could give a few that you thought were good for running, as well as for sniping

I use the razer exactmat as well....its amazingly wonderful!
