Cangaroo.TNT
It's on the lower left-hand side of the gr.uk.com website. Anyone know what it's about? P.S. This is not intended to start a new conspiracy theory. It is a genuine question.
sb85
that is interesting...maybe its a symbol for the three main clancy games? rb,gr and sc ? nm, this is it: from 1up.com Ubisoft Gets Strategic with Tom Clancy's EndWar Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon this is not. By Patrick Klepek, 04/24/2007 Remember when Ubisoft launched a bizarre website to promote an unannounced Tom Clancy game that seemed to chronicle the start of World War III? Turns out Tom Clancy's EndWar was that game and will debut in the pages of Electronic Gaming Monthly soon enough. And we're not looking at just another realistic shooter, either, as EndWar is anything but -- it's actually a strategy game. Ubisoft says their Ubisoft Shanghai studio, who last worked on the Xbox 360 version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, is completely handling EndWar. "A strategy game like no other, EndWar will allow gamers to lead their own armies against hundreds of others online in real global locations on the massive battlefields of World War III," said Serge Hascoet, chief creative officer at Ubisoft, in the press release. We'll know more when those sneaky kids at EGM let us, but Ubisoft says EndWar will arrive sometime within the company's 2007/2008 fiscal year, which could mean before the end of the year or as late as next spring. When we know more, we'll pass it on. Edited April 24, 2007 by sb85
Cangaroo.TNT
Well, it's probably been there a while; I just never noticed it before. I'm very unobservant and kinda dumb to boot.

Heatseeker
So all that stuff was just about some strategy game being made by Ubi Shangay.
MadMike
Hi, The "3" graphic is a company/technology logo for a third generation mobile phone network/services. http://www.three.co.uk/ Mike

MadMike
^Ah I was just going to say that "Three" is quite popular here in Sweden. ^ Yeah, its also popular in Denmark. spm1138
Heh. But the mobile version of GRAW2 is from Gameloft (it reminds me of ZX Spectrum shooting games).

I hear that the 3 mobile tech support/customer services is outsourced and a POS too (having spoken to people on the network), atleast for the UK anyway. GRIN_Wolfsong
Heh. But the mobile version of GRAW2 is from Gameloft (it reminds me of ZX Spectrum shooting games). From Gameloft, yes. But where will it be distributed? Through "3" maybe... that's what I was thinking.
spm1138
AFAIKnow it's distributed directly from gameloft. I just texted a number and got the game back.

spm1138
And laser satelites. OTOH it does have a cover system and a regenerating health bar The R6Vegas one is probably more faithful to the PC game. It's kind of a "RTS" thing and you get to snake-cam rooms and tag bad guys before going in. Edited April 29, 2007 by spm1138
