Brettzies
They are, but its probably where the texture is situated on the geometry of the scope.. Center of mass and I'm good to go... Actually it's the bolt release that is hit, not so much the charging handle. When M16 series weapons empty the mag completely, the bolt locks to the rear, and therefore you insert another mag, then slap the bolt release, automatically chambering a round. I'm not sure how big the dots are suppose to be. It's not hard to change though. As for the charging handle or whatever it is in real life, it doesn't matter because the game is still going to pull the scar lever back after you fire a round while reloading. If you don't fire the round, it will just hit the bolt release. Check it out, this guy recorded the problem: reload issue, wmv I'm just trying to pick the lesser of two evils. I don't think I've ever fired a round in the middle of a reload. Between the two, I'd say not having proper ammo counts from reloading is definitely worse than occasionally having an animation that doesn't fit. Brettzies
You can change it for any of the 3 weapons if you like. Go into the units/weapons folder and find the cooresponding weapon. Then modify this value so that it is true: <var name="admits_reload_firing" value="true"/> <!-- Can be fired during a Tactical reload -->

philkilla
Tried it and love it. The SPR is great, the A4 is a blast and I love having ACOG's on the SCARS!!!!

Up to you whether you want to use it or not; personally, I'd prefer it. By the way, any response on the damage values/M4 sounds thing? By the way, any response on the damage values/M4 sounds thing? Interesting. Is that a real spr sight or just a sight called spr by similarity? It doesn't really matter to me. Not sure what you mean by the M4 sound/damage, but I was thinking of changing the non-supressed fire to the old gr sound.
Arethusa
I believe that's the real SPR sight. I may be wrong, but that matches what I remember when I first saw some specs on the Mk12. Just in case you missed it (not trying to nag, here), this is what I said on the last page. I wonder if it should be a 6.8mm round? That's what it is in GR2, though, I got all of my info from here: Mk12 Info It's really difficult to determine what damage values weapons should had. I know people always want a sniper rifle that kills with one shot, but this is a light sniper rifle based on the 5.56 round, not a .50 cal or even a 7.62. I don't think it's going to be too much more powerful then an M16 if at all. Here are the damage values I went with, but anyone should feel free to change them to their liking: M4 - 2 M16 - 4 Mk12 - 6 Barrett - 10 (default game value) Those numbers are really excessive. The M16 shouldn't be doing the same damage as the SCAR H. It'd be a lot more realistic with the M4 at 2, the M16 and Mk12 at 3, and the SCAR H at 5. Even an Mk12 in 6.8mm SPC would really only be 4. By the way, is there any plan to change the M4 sounds? The M16 mostly sounds alright and the Mk12 sounds great, but the M4 sounds are really noisy (as in grain, not volume) and indistinct. With regard to damage, everyone is different. I am more inclined to put the values to your suggestions. Everyone wants these weapons to kill things with one shot, especially sniper rifles. But I think both the m16 and mk12 might be high the way they are set now. The ScarH in game is a 3 actually - not me, that's how the devs set it. Of course, then people say 6 is too low for the mk12, so I don't even know. I thought the mk12 would do more damage because of a higher velocity, but I don't even know if that's true. I couldn't find much information on how powerful it is compared to the other AR15 style weapons. It is a modified version after all. For the m4 sound, at first I liked it noisy and I still kind of do, but it is louder then anything else in the game. I have been thinking of changing it, some like it, some don't. I have been using the m468(?) in graw2 x360 and it is a fun nice sounding thump to it. The only other m4 sounds I could fall back to are the [GR] ones. They are a bit mild, but I always loved them. I'll experiment a bit, but I think most people will not be happy with lowering the damage values.

I'll experiment a bit, but I think most people will not be happy with lowering the damage values. Honestly, if people want every gun to kill in one shot, might as well make every single gun do 10 damage and not pretend it's realistic. I know you didn't set the SCAR H at 3, but since it's basically impossible to run multiple mods together (or just extremely difficult), I think it's worth changing, because the SCAR H is basically useless right now as it is, and it would be more consistent with new stuff anyway. 6 is definitely not too low for the Mk12. It kills in one hit right now anyway, and in reality, if 2 is the baseline for the M4 (a 5.56x45mm carbine), the M16, with a longer barrel, will do marginally more damage at 3. The Mk12 has a slightly longer barrel, but it's not longer by enough to justify more damage (not by the game's scale, anyway). For purposes of the game, it should basically be a more accurate M16. If people want a 20 shot rifle that does 6 damage, an M14, HK417, or other battle rifle pretty much fits that description (albeit with substantially more recoil), if you're considering doing another weapon after this. When I said the M4 sound was noisy, I didn't mean the volume (it's louder than the M16, but it should be; the shorter a weapon's barrel, the louder it is). The sound has a lot of audible grain and hiss that sounds really out of place next to the otherwise clean sound work in the rest of the game (and your other two weapons). In automatic fire, it's hard to tell individual shots apart, which definitely isn't good. I have a small archive of sounds I've collected from messing around with various things; I could post a few, if you like.
Brettzies
Sure. Put up some sounds or send me a link and I'll check them out. I tried the [GR] m4 sound with this, and it's kind of cool. It's thumpy, which I always liked, but it's quieter then the other two weapons now. Maybe I should load up Raven Shield and strip it fom there? That one was kind of loud. Brettzies
Larger Image This is the modified mil-dot sight for now. I changed the placement of the object in the model so I could feather the edges and looked at some refrence pictures people sent me. Might try the spr sight and stick instructions on how to switch them. I could actually do it as another attachment, but I think I'm just about out of mod_id#s. Brettzies
Been messing around with the m4 sounds. I remixed the [GR] m4 sound with some far off echo shot and a clean "loud" m4 at different levels. I kind of really like it now. It has the cool thumpy [GR] M4 feel with some loudness and punch to it. It's loud but not distorted - that was part of the issue with the M4 sounds I originally used. Everyone is going to be different in what they like, but I'm kind of satisfied with the balance on this current one. Probably do a point release for the sound, ret, and tactical reload. Not sure aobut the damage, I think I'll just let people adjust it themselves.
scope
I love the redone scope pic above much better and cleaner than the current one. I'm not sure on the M4 sounds atm but I've only used it for a few minutes so I can't really form an opinion on it atm. Can't say how awesome this mod is Brettzies, its made GR:AW into a completely different game and I can actually snipe without the *BOOM!* "I'M OVER HERE LADS!" effect lol. I'm glad you're getting some enjoyment out of it. I'm not sure what I was thinking with that original ret - it always felt strange. For the sound, mainly there are two variations that are distorted of the unsuppressed M4. I need to at least fix those. The new one I made is a little quieter but has the cool [GR] m4 thump. Full auto is pretty fun as well. But, it's not quite as loud as the current version - so I'm kind of torn, I like them both. I think this new one is a little more "balanced."
