Did anyone catch on one of the links on the right, or maybe it was just the news woman babbling, they mention "22 years after the signing of NAJSA the Mexican and Canadian presidents are temporarily suspending the agreement..."

So, this would put these actions 22 years after GRAW and GRAW2, correct?

So, this would put these actions 22 years after GRAW and GRAW2, correct?

Yeah, it would have to be 22 years after GRAW and GRAW2, which means that we would not be playing Captain Mitchell. Mitchell would be too old to fight if its 22 years after GRAW2. That would mean the game could take place 2034, which is 22 years after the events of GRAW or year 2012. Mitchell was born in 1976 (check the Ghost Recon 2 website for character bios), which would make him 58, if this game would take place 22 years after GRAW2. So yes people, no more Mitchell.

It takes place before 2026, because they mention the 2026 Winter Olympics in Sweden, and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Brazil.

Did anyone notice these coordinates: X: 33.756154 Y: -84.388433

Put them in Google maps and it points to an intersection in Atlanta. The website says enemy reinforcements came from the east via 154/75/85/20, which are all highways in that area.

All in all, we've got a whole lotta nothin'. Given Ubisofts PR track record (or rather lack thereof), you should all ask yourself: "Exactly how excited should I really be?". My answer is "not a whole lot, yet".

You know how the saying goes: "Fool me once, same on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". In other words, it may be great, it may not. Time will tell. Getting all hyped at this point is a waste of time, IMHO.

I really think UBI will step up for this game. And believe me, they're gamers like us. Of course the game won't please every1, but personally, I've been quite satisfied with the UBI Tom Clancy franchise. Of course realism is a must, but if you want realism play OFP.

Now, the news snippets say that there is a counter attack on Washington D.C. I bet you the plaza reference could apply to L'Enfant Plaza, which is in DC. Now thinking that US relocated the capital to Boston, someone must have taken control of DC. So the US is probably mounting a counter attack to retake DC, at L'Enfant Plaza. I could be way off, but hey, just a thought.

Yeah I would agree. Plus the word Crossfire captures what UBI is trying to do. Combine all SC, R6, and GRAW in one storyline. And if the game is being developed for PS3, they could probably combine different gaming styles. SC style sneaking, and since R6 and GRAW controls are relatively the same their won't be much modification there.

Yeah I agree. I am enjoying trying to figure all this stuff out. I mean regardless of whether or not UBI botches this new game, its still pretty cool to speculate about this brave new world in the Clancyverse.

Think about this guys.

What better way to get alot of free publicity and hype for a new game then start something like this, which in turn gets all kinds of forum speculation and debate going.

This then gets many more to visit the websites put up which in turn get more attention and publicity and further speculation and descussion going.

I have to admit this is a good publicity stunt. Over 7 pages here and growing. Other sites have similar numbers all discussing what may or may not be.

One could only hope if it is a game to come that the game itself is a good as the stunt preceding it.

Okay folks, I just figured out what the 18A stands for. Its an Army Spec Forces designation for a Special Forces officer and can usually be a Captain, a la, Captain Mitchell. HE'S ALIVE! BWAHAHAHAHA! But anyways check the link below for more info

I'm guessing MOS: 97B (35L) / 18A is directly referring to Captain Mitchell. Mitchell is a Captain and he leads the ghosts (18A). He speaks more than one language and is skilled in counter intelligence operations (97B (35L)). And below that it lists Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces and OCS (Officer's Candidates School) schools which Mitchell has obviously been to during his Army career. So my question now is, what exactly happened to Mitchell after GRAW 2?

Hey, I heard somebody mentioned something about a Red Horse. I don't know if any1 noticed this but at the bottom of the transmission it reads Rev 6:4. I went online and looked for the bible verse from the book of Revelations and here is what it says:

REV 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Notice in the beginning it mentions a red horse. Don't know if the bible verse has any relation to the transmission. But its sure worth checking out.

Not to bring a biblical debate here but, From my bible studies Rev 6:4 comes after the opening of the second seal, and verse 4(6:4) means that the opening of the second seal brings war and lack of peace. The sword normally in biblical studies means armed conflict, so Christ said he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. So the sword is literal. so robbers who use guns do die by a gun..police weapons at times. soldiers live by using a sword(weapons0 so they too die by the weapon(sword).

But one part of revelation says at one point that 1/4 of the world will be consumed by fire. alot of theologians concur that possibly a nuclear war will take place.

but this game sounds VERY strange. a GR meets Rainbow6? oh boy not good.
