I checked my tactical map and saw a red diamond near one of my squad members and when I went to on the ground view, the red diamond was located inside the blue triangle over my soldier. It likely means that he (or someone else in your squad) has located an enemy and the on board computer system that each soldier has has identified an enemy soldier in the location of the red diamond. The reason you might see a red diamond and a blue diamond in perfect alignment is likely because they are both in a position which is aligned to your point of view. In other words, imagine a line defined by 3 points. You are the first point. Your buddy is point #2 and the enemy is point #3. As you look at your buddy in the near, the enemy who is farther is aligned with him in your view line. Just an alignment coicidence. And these sorts of things happen from time to time. Even in Team Death Match multiplyer. once in a while, I glance at a guy, and he has a blue diamond on him. enemy have no diamonds on them at all in TEam deathmatch multiplyer. Becuase i see the blue diamond on the guy, i hesitate and dont shoot. Then he shoots me. Turns out, he was a enemy all along. it just so happened that for that one instant, he was standind in such a position as to align himself (coincidentally) with another guy who is on my team. The guy on my team generating the blue diamond may have been on the other side of a building and could not even be seen. but his diamond could be seen. The coincidental alignment of a freindly's diamond with an enemy soldier is an analogous example of what you probably saw. That thought crossed my mind at the time, and I walked all around him and the red/blue diamond stayed with him. I thought it could have been a bug or something, or else maybe he was getting low on ammo, but the manual did not explain that as I re-read it later. It is a very addictive game. It gets better and better and you get more familiar with how to work with it. I'm running version 1.35 (the latest version) Is it safe to assume you are too? Sleepdoc-iBeta Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 I don't normally play mp and I was under the impression that 1.35 was strickly for that. If it is for sp, I will download it sooner. Although I do not recall all teh fixes that 1.35 gave teh game (yes...was heavily multiplyer), it also gave overall performance increases to me at least. And if you dont normally play MP, and you find SP addictive, you need to go ahead and get 1.35 (unless oyu ahve a 56k issue or something) Becuase MP is excellent too. you owe it to yourself to see what its all about. And if you don't like adversarial comepetative stuff, then get a buddy and play the game's singple player game in coop mode. Adds a whol enew dimension to the experience. and dont forget to hook up for voice while you do over teamspeak... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'll get brave one of these days and try it, and, you say to get voice which I will look into. Thanks for your help; being on internet cable helped the download for 1.35. Looks like I will have to get the game for my son and he and I can practice with the game before GRAW2 comes out. Feel free to PM (private message) me if you like, and we could arrange to hook up over teamspeak (you will need headphones with a microphone ...not sure how savvy you are about these things yet ...). I could walk you through some basics on coop and play a qiuck round or 2 with you if you are interested. My buddies and I are always looking to help develop new coop'ers. All the best, Sleepdoc Thanks, some day when I get better I will do that. I have played coop on Rainbow6 a few times, so I am not that green, just a little slow at aiming and shooting. Age does that. As far as the headphone is concerned I'll have to talk to the boss about that and see what she says and then look for a inexpensive set. One of these days I'll get all this figured out.
