the.cosmic.pope.
I done a search for this in advance but its quite difficult to describe so sorry if i missed it. First off, heres the screenshots. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n261/co...19-57-08-70.png http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n261/co...19-57-20-58.png http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n261/co...19-57-40-27.png http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n261/co...19-58-45-81.png This begins to happen midway through the 3rd mission (Sorry i dont know names). It doesnt happen before then, but happens alot after checkpoint 4 (IIRC), and im unable to get passed the mission to see if it happens in the next mission. Oddly, it seems linked to the weapon. Running makes the weapon leave the screen and the problem goes away. However stopping, bringing the weapon back in, causes it to return. Its also only when facing certain directions (perhaps objects?) but I cant say what because it seems to vary depending on my own position. I have tried, 3 different sets of graphics drivers Patched an unpatched versions of GRAW Normal exe and cracked exe (sorry, was desperate) A range of graphics settings and resolutions Reinstalling the game Using a different profile Compatibility Mode Disabling Aero My setup is: Windows Vista 32bit AMD 4000 64bit nVidia 7900 GTX (currently using 100.65 driver versions) 2Gb Geil PC3200 RAM 'Onboard' Soundcard Im unsure if this is a Vista problem, as i only had a 6600GT when I had XP and GRAW ran poorly so I didnt use it. I updated to Vista then got a 7900GTX so I havent been able to test under XP. Thanks for any help in advance. Edited March 23, 2007 by the.cosmic.pope. ROCO*AFZ*
Try the beta nvidia driver? http://www.nvidia.com/object/vista_driver_news_030207.html
pmcorp
Cosmic Pope, did that solution solve your problem? I have the exact same issue. Latest patches for GRAW, latest nVidia drivers, all Windows Updates. I'm running on Windows Vista 32bit. My machine is an Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 on a Asus Striker Extreme Motherboard. My graphics card is an Asus 8800GTX. Tried different settings on the game. Tried different settings in the nVidia control panel. Nothing seems to get rid of the problem. Colin
This happens on XP in some areas no matter what config you have. It happens in Vista too. In some cases its minor and in some not so. Driver updates must be done, where no remnantes of previous version are left. Driver Cleaner Pro is a good tool for this. http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745 READ THE READ ME FIRST. Also plenty of memory 2 gig theses days is about right especially in a xp gameing system and 3-4 gig for a Vista sytem. Video editing and gameing are the 2 big munchers of ram. And of course no apps in the background running. Edited June 3, 2007 by Colin

=warcloud=
I have never seen that before in graw and i can't recall anyone mention this before. The fact is you have hardware that should run graw quite well indeed. To the original poster, test graw with your rig on win xp, i think your issue could be with vista beta.
