CENTCOM ISSUES

If you have a issue, glitch, problem, post it here.

POST

IKE.Log < Found in Red Storm/GR Folder. (Not the IKE Crash log)

Take a screenshot by pressing F4 if needed. (Stored in your GR Folder)

Pls give details of exactly what was going on at the time.

Pls only post in this topic if you have the above.

If anyone else is having problems with the CENTCOM mod, please put op a short overview of your setup and issues, like:

  • What are your computer specs (processor, memory, GFX, etc.) and on what settings are you playing CENTCOM. Low-end computers (low memory, processor and/or graphix card) can suffer framerate dropdown. Try to play with all GFX settings on 'low' and see if the problem still occurs.
  • Did you patch (Patch1_v3.0) your missions/ centcom to fix some minor mission errors?
  • Do you still have the same issues if you run Ghost Recon with the activated mods in the following order:
    - Desert Siege
    - Island Thnunder
    - CENTCOM
  • Where, when and how is your error comming forward (startup, campaign, multiplayer, during savegames, etc.)?
  • Where did you get the mod from? Which package is it (the 'full-7z file' or 'three-zipped packages')?
  • Did the installation went according plan, no error messages, in case of the three packages: did all the files go into the same centcom folder?
  • If you experienced a 'Crash To Desktop' (CTD) post your 'ike.log' (located in your 'Ghost Recon' folder) together with your own findings as stated above. It usually puts more insight on where the error can be found.

I have changed the tital to Centcom Mission Issues, as i will happily look into anything that is posted here, concerning Missions only.

Sorry, I'm at work and can't get too techinical but here is the only problem I am having at the moment. On mission 4, I take over the prison camp, eliminate the escaping prisoners, rescue the CIA agent, drop him back off at the truck and it says I have everything complete but nothing happens. I can't seem to see an extraction point.

I downloaded the missions patch last week so it is patched to the current verion (assuming I patched it correctly). Any help would be appreciated.

After returning the CIA to Insertion did you get this message:

Move your entire team to point Delta (located on your command map).

Mission 01

Issue: Shooting the Spotlight CTD

Solution: The tower is a vehicle, remove it, add sentry post and gunner.

Mission 02

Issue: CTD on mission start

Solution: Take out invalid Response in startup Block.

Mission 04

Issue: No Extraction sometimes.

Solution: Add a Green Extraction Zone plus new message. (Maybe a few extra baddies?)

Mission 10

CTD muliplayer on startup for some

Solution: Remove Fog and Insertion holding period.

Mission 11

Issue: CTD after Quick Save.

Solution: Remove invalid zone.

Pls post your issues, I will do my best to make things work.

well I'm sorry about this, but I'm upset...I just looked at my original script for mission 2 and there is a significant difference between it and what was released...in other words my work was modified without my knowledge or my permission....I understand that it had to be to a small extent to make it part of the campaign and fully expected that but the revisions I see went beyond that...if any of these blocks are what have been causing the CTD issue then I damn well don't appreciate having my name and reputation associated with it! I take pride in my diligence regarding CTD issues and want to know exactly which "invalid response" is causing this problem, if it is one of the original blocks my apologies to those who have been afflicted with this annoyance while trying to enjoy a wonderful game, if it is something that was added or altered in my script then I want a public apology made to myself and to those who experienced this problem....I for one do care that people have been having these CTDs and don't want them believing I dumped it on them if it is not true...

BTW Tinker, #2 and #8...but at this point I'm not in the mood to mess with what I did not do...

:hmm: I've played mission 2 about a dozen times now and have not had a single CTD. I just downloaded the mod about a week and a half ago when the mission patch was already out so I downloaded both. I don't know if this is what is keeping me from having the issues that others have had but I really enjoyed the maps and missions.

here is what I have in my development mod folder for CENTCOM...STARTUP and Preaction

Trigger Event:

The simulation is starting.

Responses:

Set Player to (The player-controlled platoon).

Set AA to false.

Set Leader to false.

Set Mosque Door to true.

Set OPFOR to false.

Set Cine to true.

Make all members of C undetectable.

Group: <Default>

Comment:

Trigger Event:

The simulation is initializing.

Responses:

Set Objs Complete to 0.

Set Insertion to (A random integer between 1 and 3).

Once again, I do not remember any senario including an Extraction Group or any alternative endings....if I did I have no records of such changes...hell, I was happy with Mr Melon Picker and considered the job done....

No problem. It`s not mine, i use CAPS all the time. There is an Extraction Block in there that works fine, this just wants taking out as it is not needed and ensures there are no other issues Mig.

Every other vehicle good.

I have a file for every good vehicle here to view in Igor, or wotever it is meant to be. Will include in Patch for modders. Also a character viewer file. And Staionary weapons too. No issues on CHR or Weapons so far.

Also some of them are just far too much for the average PC, to have even more than 1 or 2 showing. But there are lot`s of new stuff, that`s great in large portions! Upto the modder.

Lightys mission "funnel web", has a bug, if you press "esc" after finding the intel (to find out whats next objective) , you will have a CTD.

This i am sure is due to not using GROUPS. Objective 2 is added to the objection list twice.

Tinker, please, if possible, could you make a mission using that "air strike tools" stuff ive checked in the download tool - modding section - looks damn cool.

@Greg, i am just trying to make Centcom more playable, will try include something similiar.

Well i have already included 1 mission with the B-52 going overhead at random times on a night map!
