JASGripen
Luuuuxuuuryyyy. I am on the other side probably Live Role Playing an amateur carpenter, in constant rain at my summer house, and hurting myself in the process.
WDA_Slayer
A bad thing with a June release is that I and many other I assume are less attached to out PC:s during the summer months. I might be buying the game in mid August. not for me its a prefect time for a new game. with it being 120 + out side during that time. its stay out of the heat time!!!!!!!!!!! lol Amen to that, these Virginia summers are a lot worse then the Montana summers I grew up in. I agree with JASGripen in his original post. I have about half as much time in front of my computer come June than I do in March. I'd rather drink beer and hit on babes in bikinis on my lake than stare at my computer screen! On another note, I'm assuminig no one in here was surprised by the delay. That said, would anyone be surprised by another delay, or an outright cancellation? I wouldn't.

Slayer, given how UbiShaft didn't even grace us with an announcement this time I wouldn't be surprised at ANYTHING. Pure guesswork, but based on our previous experiences with this franchise post-[GR]... I would say at least a 25% chance that the June date will slip, but not by much... say July or August... and I'd say a 1 in 10 chance that the thing gets whacked outright. If in the next 60 days their sales department starts projecting lower unit sales then Ubi will move to save the cash, pay out GRiN and drop the project. It's a business move on their part and I accept that part... my issue is that they will have created the situation in the first place by treating their PC audience as fourth-rate beta testers. We'll be blamed ("...a softening PC gaming market as compared to consoles...") but in reality their behavior would be the root cause. They won't care about petty things like details or the truth at that point. Ghost Recon's future is to be played out on consoles and have gee-whiz crap to make it more like BattleField2 (My personal theory - The popularity of the entire BF family came at a time when [GR] ruled and GR2 was coming... I think Ubi sold the franchise down the river to compete with BF's explosive popularity). The PC market is an afterthought and it's been that way since GR2 was whacked for the PC. I think they'd just as soon get rid of us whining PC customers so they can focus on the console markets completely. -jk Callsign 3Point

PONDLIFE
I guess the only thing left to test on GRAW2 is the multiplayer side of things, hence the Beta test starting next month... so i think it'll be that, that decides if the release date is being pushed back further. mwgfghost
Are there any other places talking about a June 30th release date? IGN still says March 6th for the U.S. but Europe says June 30th But I thinnk Pondlife's right. The beta test with probably decide whether it is pushed back even further. I still haven't seen anything on UBI saying it's June 30th. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough though.

Ubi's press website now acknowledges a June release date for GRAW2 - PC. To your point, there has been no clear press release from Ubi stating the change or the reasons... but Ubi's official Press website does show the June date. -jk Callsign 3Point
