Toniezz Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 (edited) Since a couple of days a friend of mine who hosts a dedi server is having issues with the White Skull Valley mod. His server has run more than 3 years without problems. Now here is the problem: Since a couple of days his server isn't showing any briefings (lobby room), objectives (lobby room and in-mission) and command waypoints (in-mission) of a WSV-mission. Only [GR], DS and IT missions will give the briefings, objectives and waypoints accordingly to the mission files. For instance, if you select mission 'C01 - Watchfull Yeoman' it shows it's briefing and objectives correctly. Though if you change it to a WSV mission, the briefing and objectives are still those of C01. But, if you launch the game, it is the WSV-mission. With all correct triggers and scripted objectives. Only the objectives list (esc) and command-waypoints (map) are still those of the C01 mission. His mods are set in the following order: - DS (lowest priority) - IT - White Skull Valley (highest priority) He has already de- and re-installed the White Skull Valley mod. I have tried to re-create this issue on my own computer by launching a dedi server. But I experience none of the problems stated above. Strange very strange. Hammer Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 Its not the server its a glitch with the mod. the only person who can see the breifing is the host, same for the zones on the map eg the square you have to move to to become the weapons expert! Tinker Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 Thats Dedicated servers for you! I made mission 03 for the Co-Op Tournie on my server and had same problem once loaded on the Dedi. Unfortunatly I then had to replace all zones with effects just to make some proximity triggers work too. As Hammer said, it is a mod issue, too many levels. Had to remove it from our server. Brings a good point up. I know a lot of issues with a Dedi, I shall try putting them all into 1 post, as i know how frustrating it is, deleting and re-installing mods, trying all the options to find the answer.
