Action Trip Preview

I saw the link on the front page so I clicked it and hope to get some sort of new info on GRAW 2. I read on and saw this:

"The Rocket Launcher, for instance, was replaced by a guided missile, which is easily controlled after you fire it (HL 2 anyone?)."

I never expected that to happen, but I think I might enjoy it somewhat.

What is the consensus in the Grin shop about all this conflicting info anyway?

You know media is kind of like this community. They get a bit of info and then they draw their own conclussions where there are holes, and then they go over it so many times they have forgotten it wasn't actually in the real info they recieved.

Yeah about those conclussions.

I think it has happend before, GRIN told us a lot of info about GRAW, the community discussed it a bit before it got out of hand and then it's suddenly a broken promise by GRIN when they didn't deliver the goods. Maybe they gave us to much info or maybe we drew our own wrong conclussions.

Ahh.... I miss those times. Since UBI are so lazy with the PC info I think it would be better if they just left that to GRIN.

That is sadly far to common in gaming communities overall. No wonder publishers/developers don't want to talk to much about anything specific before the release.

Seems a slightly unfair dig at GRiN from the action trip preview

quote.

"As before, Ubisoft placed the PC version of the game in the hands of Sweden-based developer, GRIN. Not to sound too harsh, but they really did a half-ass job when brining the original to PCs."

I would agree that UBI was held to blame for GRAW, but didnt GRiN have to do what they were told they could by UBI?

Never mind Fella's, things seem to be looking a lot better with the sequel, but then i thought GRAW generally was a good game and still enjoy it!

Next time tell UBI to poke it, unless you can include what you want into a game otherwise GRiN will end up with a bad reputation.

It also states that GRiN is 70% finished ????? i thought you would all be busy licking labels and sticking them on the CDs by now ?

If we look at it this way.

The 360 version of GRAW was developed by two developers. Ubisoft Paris (singleplayer) and Red Storm (multiplayer). The GRAW 360 team was like five times bigger than GRIN :showoff:

GRIN had to develop both singleplayer AND multiplayer from scratch. And to make it worse, it must be developed for PC. The game had to be well optimized and it had to work on several systems.

Now however, GRIN have more employers and a great base to work with (GRAW that is) so I would expect a more complete sequel this time :)

Perhaps you are both right, that this way of marketing a product is a better approach For Ubi to take (as apposed to last time); the pub can't be bothered, the devs are in lockdown, and what info is released to 3rd party sources is so mixed up with the features of all the various platforms rendering all of the information suspect. Good plan. Don't blame us, blame the messenger. CYA. Lame.

Sometimes the only thing that separates us is a common language, or at least the ability to infer the true meaning of a post.

I noticed some new GRIN users on this forum......makes me happy, even better they are quiet, so they see what's posted, but are working their asses of to please us....... :shifty: I can't wait for March 30 :D
